Milking the Dragon Maid

Dragonmaid (2025) Gameplay Guide
Introduce

The maids

Chamber Dragonmaid (x2-3)

Chamber Dragonmaid
ATK:
500
DEF:
1800
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Dragonmaid" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. At the start of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY. You can only use each effect of "Chamber Dragonmaid" once per turn.
Starter/Searcher
Chamber can search for any Dragonmaid Spell/Trap (S/T), which is usually the card you'll want to find with Maid's Downtime . You can play 2 copies of Chamber for the stability of the ability, but I recommend playing 3 copies to find other potential combo pieces.
Additionally, Chamber can transform into any Dragon during the Battle phase, including Dragonmaid Sheou from the Graveyard (GY).
Parlor Dragonmaid (x3)

Parlor Dragonmaid
ATK:
500
DEF:
1700
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 "Dragonmaid" card from your Deck to the GY, except "Parlor Dragonmaid". At the start of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 8 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY. You can only use each effect of "Parlor Dragonmaid" once per turn.
Starter/GY Generator
Kitchen Dragonmaid (x1)

Kitchen Dragonmaid
ATK:
500
DEF:
1700
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Dragonmaid" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Kitchen Dragonmaid", then send 1 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand to the GY. At the start of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 8 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY. You can only use each effect of "Kitchen Dragonmaid" once per turn.
Skill Requirement/Searcher
Looking for your only monster besides Dragonmaid Downtime , sometimes discarding a Dragon can be useful, but most of the time you'll be using the Normal Summon for Chamber Dragonmaid and Parlor Dragonmaid . It's useful sometimes, but not the best starting choice.
Nurse Dragonmaid (x1)

Nurse Dragonmaid
ATK:
500
DEF:
1600
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Level 4 or lower "Dragonmaid" monster in your GY, except "Nurse Dragonmaid"; Special Summon it. At the start of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 7 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY. You can only use each effect of "Nurse Dragonmaid" once per turn.
Skill Requirement/Reviver
The main way to create multiple monsters on the field is very powerful in long matches and can save you in many situations. The most common cases are against field-breaking cards like Dark Hole , Armed Dragon LV10 , Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix by being summoned from the hand during the Battle Phase (BP) by Dragonmaid Tidying or Dragonmaid Ernus , which creates two monsters and reduces the risk of being OTK.
Laundry Dragonmaid (x1000)

Laundry Dragonmaid
ATK:
500
DEF:
1600
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the GY. At the start of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 7 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY. You can only use each effect of "Laundry Dragonmaid" once per turn.
Skill Requirement/Miller
OMGGGGG! I love Laundry , I would die for Laundry Dragonmaid . This support card will change my life and will be the best card ever. (Played 1 copy, mill is pretty good (sometimes yes, sometimes no...) )
Dragon Leaves
Dragonmaid Lorpar (x2-3)

Dragonmaid Lorpar
ATK:
2700
DEF:
1700
Cannot be destroyed by card effects while you control a Fusion Monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dragonmaid Lorpar" once per turn. ● You can discard this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; players cannot activate that target's effects on the field this turn. ● At the end of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 3 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand.
Board Breaker
Lorpar is a great card, the ability to prevent monsters from activating effects is extremely useful when facing monsters like Armed Dragon Thunder LV10 to protect Dragonmaid Downtime when going second, Lyrilusc - Ensemblue Robin if it's not protected from the target, Predaplant Dragotapelia , and some other cases... You get the idea!
Dragonmaid Ernus (x1-2)

Dragonmaid Ernus
ATK:
2600
DEF:
1600
Cannot be destroyed by card effects while you control a Fusion Monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dragonmaid Ernus" once per turn. ● (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand. ● At the end of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 2 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand.
Quick Hand Summon
Ernus is a card you always want to have in your hand to survive the early game when facing strong OTKs. It can summon Nurse Dragonmaid to create more monsters, or Chamber Dragonmaid/Parlor Dragonmaid to search or send to the Graveyard any cards you need for your next turn or to maintain your position.
Dragonmaid Tinkhec (x1)

Dragonmaid Tinkhec
ATK:
2700
DEF:
1700
Cannot be destroyed by card effects while you control a Fusion Monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dragonmaid Tinkhec" once per turn. ● (Quick Effect): You can discard this card, then target 1 "Dragonmaid" monster you control; it gains 2000 ATK until the end of this turn. ● At the end of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 3 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand.
Skill Requirement/Booster
+2000 ATK=Big PP dmg
Dragonmaid Nudyarl (x1)

Dragonmaid Nudyarl
ATK:
2600
DEF:
1600
Cannot be destroyed by card effects while you control a Fusion Monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dragonmaid Nudyarl" once per turn. ● You can discard this card, then target 1 monster in either GY; shuffle it into the Deck. ● At the end of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 2 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand.
Skill Requirement/Shuffler
There's not much to say about this card. Sometimes the effect of shuffling a monster from any Graveyard can be useful against certain decks, but most of the time you'll just use it as a strong attack monster.
The Ritual Dragons:
Borreload Riot Dragon (x0-3)

Borreload Riot Dragon
ATK:
3000
DEF:
2500
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Heavy Interlock". When your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) (Quick Effect): You can negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster(s), then destroy this card or 1 "Rokket" monster you control. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 "Borrel" or "Rokket" monster in your GY; destroy 1 card you control or in your hand, and if you do, add that target to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Borreload Riot Dragon" once per turn.
Fusion Material/Card Destroyer
Riot has many uses in this deck, but is primarily used as fusion material for Dragonmaid Sheou . Additionally, it can take advantage of its second effect to return to hand.
This deck interacts very well with the Graveyard, and Riot can send down stuck cards in hand like Dragonmaid Tidying or a Maid you want in the Graveyard to trade for a high-level Dragon and summon Sheou . Another example is destroying Dragonmaid Changeover in hand to reuse it thanks to its second effect after being destroyed.
You can also destroy Dragonmaid Welcome before deploying turns to avoid Effect Veiler when going first.
Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended and Raging Storm Dragon - Beaufort IX (x0-2)

Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2800
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Sprite's Blessing". When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a monster you control (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate the activation. When your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s) (Quick Effect): You can return this card to the hand; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, banish that monster(s).

Raging Storm Dragon - Beaufort IX
ATK:
2800
DEF:
2800
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Breath of Acclamation". When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: You can discard this card; negate the attack, and if you do, negate that monster's effects. (Quick Effect): You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; return both that monster and this card to the hand. You can only use each effect of "Raging Storm Dragon - Beaufort IX" once per turn.
Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended
A good choice to deal with handtraps like Effect Veiler and Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill . Additionally, it can also be used as a fusion material for Dragonmaid Sheou .
Raging Storm Dragon - Beaufort IX
Fusion Material/OTK ProtectionNot used much since Lyrilusc is not popular anymore, but the main reason to play this card is to counter Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale . Additionally, it can also be used as fusion material for Dragonmaid Sheou .
Spell/Trap
Dragonmaid Hospitality (x2-3)
Resource Generator/Extender
One of your two main Spells will be Dragonmaid Hospitality , which can revive any Dragonmaid from the Graveyard or hand, and also allows you to send a counterpart of that monster to the Graveyard. This is a great expansion tool when dealing with disruption. You'll usually search for this card with Chamber Dragonmaid after you already have Dragonmaid Changeover .
Dragonmaid Changeover (x1-2 )

Dragonmaid Changeover
Fusion Summon 1 Dragon Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material. While this card is in your GY: You can target 1 "Dragonmaid" monster you control; add this card to your hand, and if you do, return that monster to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Dragonmaid Changeover" once per turn.
Fusion Spell
Your second main Spell is Dragonmaid Changeover , which is basically the core of the deck since the gameplay revolves around fusion monsters. I recommend only playing 1 copy since it can recycle itself from the Graveyard, but you can run 2 if DD Crow becomes popular.
This is the main way to summon Dragonmaid Sheou and House Dragonmaid consistently. The recycle effect requires returning a Dragonmaid monster from the field to the hand, making for a great combination with House Dragonmaid 's effect to destroy an opponent's monster. Additionally, the only condition of the second effect is to simply select a target, so you can activate Dragonmaid Downtime or Dragonmaid Tidying without losing the healing ability of Dragonmaid Changeover .
Dragonmaid Welcome (x0-1)

Dragonmaid Welcome
All monsters you control gain 100 ATK/DEF for each "Dragonmaid" monster you control. If you control 2 or more "Dragonmaid" monsters: You can target 1 "Dragonmaid" card in your GY, except "Dragonmaid Welcome"; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Dragonmaid Welcome" once per turn. If this card is sent to the GY: Your opponent cannot target "Dragonmaid" monsters you control with card effects this turn.
Recycler/Target Protection
This is a personal choice. Most players don't use Dragonmaid Welcome because the recycle effect is usually useless in the early game. However, I play it because it's a great card in long games, allowing you to recycle any Dragonmaid card from the Graveyard.
The second effect helps you avoid targeted effects, which is very effective in some matchups. You can also combine this card with the healing effect of Borreload Riot Dragon to deal with handtraps like Effect Veiler and Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill , as the deck is quite weak to handtraps in the early game.
Dragonmaid Send-Off (x0-1)

Dragonmaid Send-Off
Target 1 "Dragonmaid" monster you control; Special Summon 1 "Dragonmaid" monster with a different name from your hand, in Defense Position, and if you do, return that targeted monster to the hand. The Special Summoned monster cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects until the end of the next turn. You can only activate 1 "Dragonmaid Send-Off" per turn.
Stall/Protection
Not a popular card, but certainly not a bad choice if you want to survive against strong OTK decks.
Dragonmaid Downtime (x1)

Dragonmaid Downtime
You can target 1 "Dragonmaid" monster you control, then activate 1 of these effects; ● Return it to the hand, and if you do, add 1 "Dragonmaid" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Dragonmaid Downtime". ● Return it to the hand, and if you do, return 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Dragonmaid Downtime" once per turn.
Skill Setup/Searcher/Backrow Removal
The main way to get this Trap into play is to use the third effect of the Maid's Downtime ability. This is a very powerful card to play second, as it can dodge targeted and handtrap interrupt effects, while also searching for any Dragonmaid cards or returning an opponent's Spell/Trap to the hand. Most of the time, this effect will force the opponent to react, as it does not target when returned to the hand.
Dragonmaid Tidying (x2-3)

Dragonmaid Tidying
Target 1 Dragon monster you control and 1 card your opponent controls or in their GY; return them to the hand. You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY in Defense Position, but return it to the hand during the End Phase. You can only use 1 "Dragonmaid Tidying" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
Bouncer/Extender
Frankly, Baki , you'll almost never use the first effect of Dragonmaid Tidying . The second effect is the most important, as it allows you to Special Summon a Dragonmaid monster from your hand or Graveyard, making it one of the best expansion tools in the deck.
You can activate this effect even during the Battle Phase (BP) , so you always want this card in the Graveyard. The most common way to send it to the Graveyard is to use Parlor Dragonmaid 's effect to send it from your deck, or use Forbidden Droplet/Borreload Riot Dragon to send it from your hand if it's stuck.
Extra Deck
Dragonmaid Sheou (x1)

Dragonmaid Sheou
ATK:
3500
DEF:
2000
1 "Dragonmaid" monster + 1 Level 5 or higher Dragon monster During each Standby Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Level 9 or lower "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY. When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, also, after that, return this card to the Extra Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "House Dragonmaid" from your Extra Deck. You can only use each effect of "Dragonmaid Sheou" once per turn.
Main Boss/Omni Negate
Sheou is your main boss monster and your win condition. It can negate any card or effect your opponent has, and Special Summon a Dragonmaid monster from your hand or Graveyard during each Standby Phase .
After negating, Sheou returns to the Extra Deck to summon its counterpart House Dragonmaid . This card helps you set up for your next turn by calling Chamber Dragonmaid to search for support or Parlor Dragonmaid to send Dragonmaid Tidying , creating a backup if your field is cleared.
House Dragonmaid (x3)

House Dragonmaid
ATK:
3000
DEF:
2000
1 "Dragonmaid" monster + 1 Dragon monster Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: You can target 1 other "Dragonmaid" monster you control; Special Summon 1 "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand or GY in Defense Position, whose Level is 1 higher or 1 lower than it. When another face-up Dragon monster(s) you control returns to your hand (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it.
Boss Monster/Board Breaker
Most of the time, you will summon House Dragonmaid using the effect of Dragonmaid Sheou . Like its counterpart, House also has the ability to Special Summon a Dragonmaid monster, but only if you control another Dragonmaid monster.
House 's second effect allows you to destroy an opponent's monster "WHEN" a Dragonmaid monster returns to the hand. The important thing is that you will lose the activation timing if this action occurs on Chain Link 2+ . Additionally, this effect is not limited to once per turn , so you can take advantage of it to destroy multiple monsters, especially during the Battle Phase (BP) .

2+ monsters with different names If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; shuffle it into the Deck, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Unicorn" once per turn. While any co-linked "Knightmare" monsters are on the field, for your normal draw in your Draw Phase, draw 1 card for each different card name among those co-linked "Knightmare" monsters, instead of drawing just 1 card.

4+ Effect Monsters You can also use 1 monster your opponent controls as material to Link Summon this card. If this card is Link Summoned: You can negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls. This Link Summoned card is unaffected by your opponent's activated effects, unless they target this card. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that Special Summons a monster(s) from the GY (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation.
Generic Link/Monster Removal
Since this isn't a F2P friendly card, I'd mark it as 0-1 , but if you have it, play it. There are situations where this card really shines, especially when dealing with monsters that can't be targeted or aren't affected by effects .
Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star, Bujinki Ahashima, Voloferniges and the Darkest Dragon Doomrider (x0-1)

Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2100
2 Level 8 monsters You can only Special Summon "Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star(s)" once per turn. You can also Xyz Summon this card by using an "Orcust" Link Monster you control as material. If a card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can detach 1 material from this card instead. If this card is Special Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Send 1 card your opponent controls to the GY. ● Attach 1 of your banished Machine monsters to this card as material.

2 monsters with the same Level Cannot be used as Link Material. You can only use each of the following effects of "Bujinki Ahashima" once per turn. ● If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 2 monsters with the same Level, 1 from your hand and 1 from your GY, but negate their effects, and immediately after this effect resolves, Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using those 2 monsters only. ● If an Xyz Monster this card points to activates an effect by detaching material(s) (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it.

Voloferniges, the Darkest Dragon Doomrider
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2100
2 Level 7 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 2 materials from this card, then target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it, and if you destroyed a monster, you can make 1 face-up monster you control gain ATK equal to the destroyed monster's original Level/Rank x 300 until the end of the next turn. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. This is a Quick Effect if this card has a Dragon monster as material, but cannot be activated in the Damage Step.
Generic ED Spot/Card Removal
This is an uncommon option, but it can be done with pairs like double Chamber Dragonmaid , Kitchen Dragonmaid + Parlor Dragonmaid , or Nurse Dragonmaid + Laundry Dragonmaid . This is mostly a test pack, but you can experiment!
Common cards can be substituted.
You have a lot of viable options since the only limited card you have access to is Dragonmaid Sheou .
Kiteroid, Rainbow Life and Hallowed Life Barrier (x2)

Kiteroid
ATK:
200
DEF:
400
During damage calculation, if your opponent's monster attacks directly (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; you take no battle damage from that battle. During damage calculation, if your opponent's monster attacks directly (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your Graveyard; you take no battle damage from that battle.
Limit 2s/Survivance
Dragonmaid 's biggest weakness is the early game, as in Speed Format , it's easy to get OTK'd in the first few turns. These cards will help you survive the early game , while also setting up the long-term playstyle where Dragonmaid really shines.
Lost Wind, Book of Eclipse and Compulsory Evacuation Device (x3)

Lost Wind
Target 1 face-up Special Summoned monster on the field; negate its effects, also its original ATK is halved. If a monster is Special Summoned from your opponent's Extra Deck, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field.

Book of Eclipse
Change all face-up monsters on the field to face-down Defense Position. During the End Phase of this turn, change as many face-down Defense Position monsters your opponent controls as possible to face-up Defense Position, then your opponent draws cards equal to the number of monsters changed face-up by this effect.
Limit 3s/Control
You don't really need these Backrow cards, but here are some options worth considering.
Dark Hole, Mystical Space Typhoon and Forbidden Droplet (x3)

Forbidden Droplet
Send any number of other cards from your hand and/or field to the GY; choose that many Effect Monsters your opponent controls, and until the end of this turn, their ATK is halved, also their effects are negated. In response to this card's activation, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original type (Monster/Spell/Trap) as the cards sent to the GY to activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Droplet" per turn.
Board Breakers
Versatile cards make your turn 2 easier and more efficient, with Forbidden Droplet being the best choice as it can help you remove Dragonmaid Tidying from your hand to take advantage of its effect.

Thank you so much for reading this guide! And sorry if I made some mistakes.
Dragonmaid is my favorite deck, and I hope everyone has as much fun playing it as I do. It may not be the strongest deck, but it will always be the best deck in my heart!
Goodbye, Dragon enthusiasts! Good luck on the Ladder/Tourneys , and don't forget to drink plenty of water !
