Overview & Skills & Strengths/Weaknesses
Dino Awakening (Skill Card) (100%)

Dino Awakening (Skill Card)
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
You can only use this Skill's second and third effects once per Duel. 1: During your turn, you cannot Normal or Special Summon (excluding Special Summons from the Extra Deck) any monsters, except Dinosaur monsters. 2: Send 1 face-up non-Dinosaur monster you control to the Graveyard, add 1 "Babycerasaurus" from your Deck to your hand. Then, send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard. 3: During your Main Phase, you can make 1 monster on the field become Level 4 until the end of this turn. If it was a monster your opponent controls, you can also apply the following effect. ●That monster becomes Dinosaur-Type until the end of this turn. This turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Souleating Oviraptor" in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.
ADVANTAGE
- Very durable, lots of interactions thanks to Miscellaneousaurus
- Easy to Combo on turn 1 and easy to learn
- Has one of the strongest Boss monsters in the game, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, which can deal with tough decks like Lyruilisc.
- Powerful Endboard Setup with Multiple Disruptions
- Dinosaur is so cool
DISADVANTAGES
- This deck is quite expensive, requiring a Mainbox and a Selection box. While you can get a copy of Fossil Dig when Rex Raptor levels up, you still need to go to the Selection box to get more copies.
- It's very easy to counter this deck. If you start with Double Evolution Pill or Animadorned Archosaur it will be very difficult to start your combo.
- This skill is overshadowed by other skills in the game because although it is useful when you start playing, if your Linkuriboh is banished or returned, this skill becomes very bad.
- Not effective against long-term decks like Predaplant that can sustain and survive. Salamangreat will also drown you in advantages if the game goes on too long.
Card & Tech
This deck can easily be a 20 card deck or a 25-30 card deck with more tech. The optimal choice would be to play 20-25 because you really want to start with Miscellaneousaurus to protect and start your combo. Fewer cards means you have a better chance of drawing a Double Evolution Pill in your opening hand.
Main Deck
Miscellaneousaurus (x3)

Miscellaneousaurus
ATK:
1800
DEF:
1000
During either player's Main Phase: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; during this Main Phase, Dinosaur-Type monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's activated effects. You can banish any number of Dinosaur-Type monsters from your Graveyard, including this card; Special Summon 1 Dinosaur-Type monster from your Deck with a Level equal to the total number of monsters banished to activate this effect, but destroy it during the End Phase. You can only use this effect of "Miscellaneousaurus" once per turn.
It makes all your Dinos monsters immune to activated effects , including many popular cards like Ice Dragon's Prison , Effect Veiler , and Book of Eclipse .
Note : It does not prevent continuous effects after they have been activated , such as Crackdown or Fiendish Chain – because after they successfully activate, they become continuous effects.
One often overlooked detail is that this card's first effect is not limited per turn – only the effect in the Graveyard is limited.
There have been situations where my opponent negates or banishes Miscellaneousaurus with DD Crow , so the ability to send this card twice (if needed) has saved me in many games .
Finally, protection effects only work in the Main Phase , so make sure you have a Spell/Trap protection card when you enter the Battle Phase.
Souleating Oviraptor (x2-3)

Souleating Oviraptor
ATK:
1800
DEF:
500
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can take 1 Dinosaur-Type monster from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or send it to the Graveyard. You can target 1 other Level 4 or lower Dinosaur-Type monster on the field; destroy it, then Special Summon 1 Dinosaur-Type monster from your Graveyard in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Souleating Oviraptor" once per turn.
Miscellaneousaurus is a versatile card that acts as both a combo extender and a searcher. Using your Skill, you can turn an opponent's monster into a Dinosaur, then destroy it with Oviraptor . This situation doesn't happen often, but it has happened in some matches. However, you will usually want to destroy Babycerasaurus to extend your combo.
While playing 3 copies of Miscellaneousaurus is optimal for consistency, some decklists only run 1 or 2 copies and still have success. However, 3 copies is recommended for increased deck consistency.
Fossil Dig (x2-3)
Fossil Dig is the main searcher in the Dinosaur deck, giving you easy access to important monsters. If you don't have Miscellaneousaurus in your opening hand, Fossil Dig can find this card. It can also get Giant Rex to discard with a skill or Babycerasaurus to destroy with Animadorned Archosaur , extending the combo.
Playing x2 copies of Fossil Dig is acceptable, but 3 copies is the optimal number for stability. However, getting more copies can be difficult since you need to open Selection Boxes to get them. The upside is that you only need 2 copies, since the first one can already be obtained from the Rex Raptor level 40 reward.
Babycerasaurus (x3)
Babycerasaurus is a key combo expansion card that helps you easily progress to Rank 4 Xyz or Link monsters. You’ve probably heard the phrase “Pop the baby” – this is the card that coined the term! You can destroy Babycerasaurus with Animadorned Archosaur to find the Double Evolution Pill , or use Souleating Oviraptor to destroy it, then revive another copy from your deck to summon another Level 4 monster.
A common combo is to destroy Babycerasaurus and then revive another copy. Be careful, however: DO NOT revive the same Babycerasaurus that was just destroyed, as its graveyard effect will not trigger. This is a common mistake that many people, including myself, have encountered!
Ultimate Conductor Tyranno (x1-2)

Ultimate Conductor Tyranno
ATK:
3500
DEF:
3200
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 2 Dinosaur-Type monsters from your Graveyard. Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase: You can destroy 1 monster in your hand or field, and if you do, change all face-up monsters your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks a Defense Position monster: You can inflict 1000 damage to your opponent, and if you do, send that Defense Position monster to the Graveyard.
Ultimate Conductor Tyranno (UTC) is the boss monster of the Dinosaur deck, summoned via a Double Evolution Pill or by removing 2 Dinosaur-type monsters from the graveyard. This card has the ability to attack all of your opponent's monsters in one turn, while also bypassing protective effects like Hallowed Life Barrier or Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale . Instead of destroying, UTC allows you to send your opponent's monsters to the graveyard without choosing a target, negating cards that are difficult to destroy.
Ultimate Conductor Tyranno 's primary effect acts as a more powerful version of Book of Eclipse , allowing all monsters on the opponent's field to be flipped face down. This is extremely effective for breaking the opponent's combo or dealing with difficult-to-destroy formations, like what Lyrilusc often sets up.
Tips for playing:
- Summon Ultimate Conductor Tyranno with Double Evolution Pill to quickly apply pressure, especially when your opponent has multiple monsters on the field.
- Use UTC's face-down effect to interrupt your opponent's combo or disable indestructible cards, like Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale .
- Combine with Babycerasaurus or Souleating Oviraptor to ensure you have enough Dinosaur monsters in your graveyard to summon UTC.
Animadorned Archosaur (x1-2)

Animadorned Archosaur
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can destroy 1 Dinosaur monster in your hand or face-up field, except "Animadorned Archosaur", then add 1 Reptile, Sea Serpent, or Winged Beast monster with the same original Level as that destroyed monster, OR 1 "Evolution Pill" Spell, from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Animadorned Archosaur" once per turn.
Animadorned Archosaur is a key card in your turn 1 combo, helping you destroy Babycerasaurus to find the Double Evolution Pill . You should generally run 1 or 2 copies to ensure you can search for it with Miscellaneousaurus . Running 2 copies is optimal, because if you draw one, there is still another in the deck to search for. However, it can be very annoying if you draw both Animadorned Archosaur and Double Evolution Pill in your opening hand.
Additionally, Animadorned Archosaur can be used to summon Linkuriboh , then sent to the graveyard with a Skill to have a non-Dinosaur monster in the graveyard, satisfying the conditions for Double Evolution Pill .
Double Evolution Pill (x1)
Double Evolution Pill is arguably the most important card in the Dinosaur deck, as it triggers a powerful turn 1 combo. You don't want to draw this card in your opening hand, as Animadorned Archosaur 's effect only works while Double Evolution Pill is in the deck. This card is so important that some decklists even use Big Evolution Pill to avoid disrupting combos.
However, if you draw Double Evolution Pill in your opening hand, you can still set up a good game with the help of other cards. Personally, I don’t use Big Evolution Pill , because drawing both “Pill” cards in my opening hand is very annoying. After removing Big Evolution Pill , my deck performed more stably, only rarely drawing Double Evolution Pill a few times.
Double Evolution Pill allows you to summon Ultimate Conductor Tyranno or Overtex Qoatlus , especially useful if you already have Ultimate Conductor Tyranno in your hand.
Giant Rex (x1)
Giant Rex is a useful card when banished by Double Evolution Pill or the effect of Ultimate Conductor Tyranno . When banished, Giant Rex will summon itself to the field, allowing you to advance to Rank 4 Link or Xyz monsters. However, it should be noted that this effect is "hard once per turn", so playing multiple copies can leave you bricked. Therefore, playing 1 copy is often the better option.
Overtex Qoatlus (x1)

Overtex Qoatlus
ATK:
2700
DEF:
2100
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by shuffling 5 of your banished Dinosaur monsters into the Main Deck. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card (Quick Effect): You can destroy 1 Dinosaur monster in your hand or face-up on your field, and if you do, negate the activation, and if you do that, destroy that card. If this card is sent to the GY by a card effect: You can add 1 "Evolution Pill" Spell from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Overtex Qoatlus" once per turn.
Initially, I viewed Overtex Qoatlus as a tech card, but after using it, I recommend running at least 1 copy. This card has the ability to negate Spell/Trap and return some discarded Dinosaur monsters to the deck. This effect is especially useful in long matches, when Dinosaur decks often remove monsters from the graveyard.
Petiteranodon (x0-1)
Petiteranodon has a similar effect to Babycerasaurus , allowing you to summon additional copies of Babycerasaurus from your deck. While I haven't used this card yet, it can be useful if your deck has more than 20 cards. Note that the monsters summoned by Petiteranodon cannot attack during that turn, which can sometimes affect your strategy but isn't too important.
Extra Deck
Dinosaur 's Extra Deck is quite flexible in the 2 range. Here are two important cards and some optional suggestions. You can customize the Extra Deck to your liking and collection.
Linkuriboh (x1)

Linkuriboh
ATK:

LINK-1
Link Arrow:

1 Level 1 Monster When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can Tribute this card; change that opponent's monster's ATK to 0, until the end of this turn. If this card is in your GY (Quick Effect): You can Tribute 1 Level 1 monster; Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Linkuriboh" once per turn.
Evolzar Laggia (x1-2)

Evolzar Laggia
ATK:
2400
DEF:
2000
2 Level 4 Dinosaur-Type monsters During either player's turn, when a monster(s) would be Normal or Special Summoned, OR a Spell/Trap Card is activated: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card; negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card.
The most powerful Xyz card for turn 1, acts as a Solemn Judgment , which protects you from monsters, is a popular Spell/Trap card in the meta. You should play at least 1 copy, but I recommend 2 copies because you can often set up a game with 2 Xyz monsters and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno .
Abyss Dweller (x0-1)

Abyss Dweller
ATK:
1700
DEF:
1400
2 Level 4 monsters While this card has a material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; your opponent cannot activate any card effects in their GY this turn.
I:P Masquerena (x0-1)

2 non-Link Monsters During your opponent's Main Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon 1 Link Monster using materials you control, including this card. You can only use this effect of "I:P Masquerena" once per turn. A Link Monster that used this card as material cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
Evilswarm Exciton Knight, Number 70: Malevolent Sin, Castel and the Skyblaster Musketeer (XYZ)

Evilswarm Exciton Knight
ATK:

DEF:

2 Level 4 monsters Once per chain, during your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase, if your opponent has more total cards in their hand and field than you do (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; destroy all other cards on the field, also your opponent takes no further damage this turn.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
ATK:
2400
DEF:
1200
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer
ATK:
2000
DEF:
1500
2 Level 4 monsters You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; change it to face-down Defense Position. You can detach 2 materials from this card, then target 1 other face-up card on the field; shuffle it into the Deck. You can only use 1 "Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
Knightmare Cerberus, Knightmare Unicorn and Knightmare Phoenix (.)

2 monsters with different names If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Special Summoned monster in your opponent's Main Monster Zone; destroy it, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Cerberus" once per turn. Co-linked monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects.

2+ monsters with different names If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; shuffle it into the Deck, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Unicorn" once per turn. While any co-linked "Knightmare" monsters are on the field, for your normal draw in your Draw Phase, draw 1 card for each different card name among those co-linked "Knightmare" monsters, instead of drawing just 1 card.

Knightmare Phoenix

4+ Effect Monsters You can also use 1 monster your opponent controls as material to Link Summon this card. If this card is Link Summoned: You can negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls. This Link Summoned card is unaffected by your opponent's activated effects, unless they target this card. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that Special Summons a monster(s) from the GY (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation.
This card is powerful but not required. It is useful in some situations, especially when summoning with I:P Masquerena and your opponent's monster to destroy a boss monster or negate an effect. This card is not affected by non-target cards such as Forbidden Droplet , Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix , Super Polymerization , Dark Hole , or counter traps.
Pentestag (x0-1)
A very powerful card that uses common materials, allowing you to finish off your opponent through the defense position monster row with Ultimate Conductor Tyranno . However, be careful not to activate Ultimate Conductor Tyranno 's graveyard effect , as this will prevent it from dealing piercing damage.
Tech cards
Dogoran the Mad Flame Kaiju (.)

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju
ATK:
3000
DEF:
1200
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. Once per turn: You can remove 3 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; destroy all monsters your opponent controls. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated.
A great card, can be searched by Souleating Oviraptor . Although some decklists don't use it, it is very effective at removing many boss monsters or monsters like Immortal Phoenix Gearfried negate capital Miscellaneousaurus . Not a required card, but will prove useful in many situations.
Popular Tech

Forbidden Droplet
Send any number of other cards from your hand and/or field to the GY; choose that many Effect Monsters your opponent controls, and until the end of this turn, their ATK is halved, also their effects are negated. In response to this card's activation, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original type (Monster/Spell/Trap) as the cards sent to the GY to activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Droplet" per turn.
Survival's End (.)

Survival's End
Destroy as many Normal Monsters on the field as possible, and if you do, Special Summon Level 4 or lower Dinosaur-Type monsters from your Deck, up to the number destroyed, but destroy them during the End Phase. You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Dinosaur-Type monster you control and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy them.
This card was used in the early version of the deck, mainly to send to the graveyard with a Skill. Its destruction effect in the graveyard is useful when you have an extra Dinosaur monster on the field or to avoid negate effects targeting Ultimate Conductor Tyranno . While not required, I cut it from the deck later, but it's still useful to have.

Combo & Tips & Matches
Summary
Overall this deck is a lot of fun and can set you up for some pretty nasty boards at first. Miscellaneousaurus is a strong second card that protects your combo from the most common disruptions and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno is one of the best Bosses in the game. Don't sleep on this deck while it's overshadowed by some of the other decks due to their skill hacking, I think it still has a lot of potential.
