Blue-eyes 2024

Blue-eyes 2024

The tilte is short but I think it's enough for you to know that this article is about blue-eyes. BE has been around for a long time in DL, with dozens of variations changing every year and every update, perhaps BE 2024 is the strongest. And today I will write an article to give you an overview!

Overview of gameplay & Skills

Gameplay overview : Honestly, in the latest version of Blue-eyes, this is the easiest version to play, it doesn't force players to think too much but just depends on skills, set backrows,... so So I highly encourage newbies to play this deck.

At a glance, we just need to Normal Summon -> Skill -> Set Spell/Trap to destroy the enemy -> Fusion summon and punch to end the gameeeee.

During this Duel, you can Normal Summon/Set "Chronicle Magician" or a Normal Monster with 2500 ATK or DEF without Tributing, also you cannot Normal or Special Summon an Effect Monster with a Level, except for Spellcaster-Type LIGHT/DARK monsters of Dragon-Type LIGHT monsters. You can use this once per turn on a turn where "Chronicle Sorceress" or a Level 7 or above monster is Summoned or Fusion Summoned. From your Deck, add 1 "Successor Soul" or Quick-Play Spell Card with "Dark Magician" or "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in the Card name to your hand, and send 1 monster to your Graveyard from your Deck/Extra Deck that isn't an Effect Monster, and that doesn't have a monster of the same name in your field or Graveyard.

This skill accounts for 90% of the deck's power, which brings BE to tier 2.

First, it allows me to normally summon BE and Spirit of White straight without needing a tribute. This is quite good because before, meeting BE and Spirit was boring because they are no different from hard bricks in your hand, but now if your hand has Be and all, it's even better: Normal summon and prepare for the next Effect. of skills.

The second ability of the skill is to search Quick-Play Spell, more specifically Successor Soul or Ultimate Fusion . This means search disruption free for you. I will talk specifically about these two cards later, but I can reveal first that the disruption types of these two cards can be considered the strongest in the game.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by revealing "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in your hand. You can only Special Summon "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" once per turn this way. This card's name becomes "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated.

Blue-eyes' upgrade item has the ability to Special Summon + destroy 1 opp monster (although in exchange for not being able to attack during the turn)

In previous versions of BE, Alternative was the core card, an indispensable card in the deck. But now things are different, BE 2024 may not need Alternative anymore and still be strong. We will reserve slots for other stronger tech/staple cards to make it easier to climb rank.

(This card is always treated as a "Blue-Eyes" card.) This card is treated as a Normal Monster while in the hand or GY. When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; banish it. If your opponent controls a monster (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand.

The chairman's brand dragon is no longer a brick because it has a huge effect. Both can be normally summoned through skills -> then activate skills to earn spells depending on the situation

  • As for Blue-eyes, although it is no more or less a normal monster, in return it has 3000 ATK, enough to punch opponents with mixed teeth and lips.
When summoning Blue-eyes, we will prioritize searching for Ultimate Fusion .

  • Spirit of White seems a bit better. This card is always Blue-eyed and is a normal monster when in the hand or grave, so it can satisfy all deck conditions from skills to spells. When on the field, we also get 1 free turn to banish the enemy's Spell/Trap, equal to 1 cosmic without having to pay 1000 LP.

The second effect is a form of avoiding effect targets, by tribute yourself and special summon 1 BE from your hand. But in this version this ability will not be necessary. We will mainly use Spirit to tribute with Successor Soul

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Black Luster Ritual".

Sorry guys, I mean the 8-star BLS normal card doesn't need a ritual, it's in Duel Links, it's not a ritual. This card, like BE, is equal to Atk and Def, mainly used as fusion material and is the summoning target of Successor Soul . In addition, it can also be used as a condition to activate skills, but regular cards are not used to normal summon unless unavoidable circumstances.

This is also BE's searcher. Its effect is a pretty good 2-for-1 exchange, sometimes even better than Bingo Machine when we search BE normal and Alternative at the same time.

    Ultimate Fusion

During the Main Phase: Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that mentions "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" as material, by shuffling the Fusion Materials listed on it from your hand, field, and/or GY into the Deck, then, you can destroy face-up cards your opponent controls, up to the number of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" used from the field as material. You can only activate 1 "Ultimate Fusion" per turn.

This is one of two new spell cards that make BE completely change the gameplay. At a glance, this card helps us Fusion to create stronger BE forms, taking materials from hand, field and grave and bringing them back to the deck (Both Fusion and resource recovery).

This card can be searched through skills, in addition it is also a Quick-play Spell that can be activated during the opponent's turn, so it doesn't matter if we go turn 1 or 2.

Surely everyone knows that this spell also has the ability to Destroy, but we need to pay a little attention to this ability: This is destroy without having to select a target (untarget), and once the effect is resolved, the opponent will not can be chained to prevent destruction. And of course, being strong has a limit: this card can only destroy face-up cards and destroy equal to the number of BE OR 3-HEADED BE ON THE FIELD used as fusion materials (so we usually only have 2 turns to destroy , max is 3).

      Successor Soul (x2)

Tribute 1 Effect Monster, then target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; send it to the GY, then Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher Normal Monster from your hand or Deck. You can only activate 1 "Successor Soul" per turn. You can only attack with 1 monster during the turn you activate this card.

The second card in the new support section. As mentioned above, Successor Soul also has the ability to remove quite strong cards, namely Send to the Grave without Destroy. Like Ultimate Fusion , it has strong removal effects but also has many limitations:

        • This is still a Target effect, not Untarget like Ultimate Fusion

        • Must sacrifice 1 effect monster to activate, usually Spirit of White but in many cases if we only BE normal on the field, it will be a bit awkward.

        • Limited to destroying effect monsters only

        • Limited to only attacking with 1 monster that turn.
However, it still brings that advantage searchable with skills, but searchable disruptions are never outdated. In addition, it also adds a normal BE from the deck/hand to the field, which will be a very good material for Ultimate Fusion .

Reveal 3 cards from your Deck that each meets at least 1 of the criteria listed below, your opponent randomly picks 1 for you to add to your hand, and you shuffle the rest into your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Bingo Machine, Go!!!" per turn. ● "Blue-Eyes" monster ● Spell/Trap that specifically lists the card "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", except "Bingo Machine, Go!!!"

This leaf has existed in the past but is not very popular. But now it is an indispensable searcher in the deck. Spells can be searched through Skills. To activate skills we need BEs, and to ensure we have BEs in hand, we need this card. This card can also search for spells/traps of BE and Alternative, usually we don't use it but sometimes it can become useful.

          Tech & Staple

BE is no longer the same as before. Their main strength now comes from the extremely annoying Backrow

(Quick Effect): You can discard this card to the GY, then target 1 card in your opponent's GY; banish that target.

In the current meta we have to face top decks that use graves a lot, so DD Crow has become an indispensable card to counter them. Luckily, this new BE has many slots for Techs like this.

If you have no Trap Cards in your Graveyard: Target 2 monsters on the field; destroy those targets.

Actually, these are two cards that were all the rage for a while until they were limited to 1, especially Treacherous Trap Hole.

The effects of these two cards are quite simple, nothing to say, but I will encourage you to prioritize Treacherous because it does not require you to tribute monsters but can also destroy 2. E-Controller will only be an option. F2P, the ability to turn players is inferior to Book of Moon, the ability to steal is inferior to Crackdown....

                  Tag(s):

These two cards have been among the top trap cards of Duel Links for a long time, so there's not much to say. We can use whatever we have, but we have to be careful that when using Ice Dragon's Prison, you should not use Treacherous Trap Hole because Treacherous requires you not to have any Trap Cards in your grave to use it (while Crackdown will stay). on the field)

During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card from your hand or face-up field; neither player can banish cards for the rest of this turn.

This is also a card used to counter matches against decks that use graves, especially Shiranui, even many other decks that do not use graves are still countered. Because he couldn't banish cards, Shiranui could only cry. The Mekk-Knights didn't use graves but also cried.

3 genuine products. Atk and def are equal to the normal 3 heads but have a few more interesting effects. The first is the ability to punch multiple times, if it is the only card on your field, it can punch max 3 times with 4500 Atk, quite sour. When it goes to the grave, it still has the effect of giving us a little more protection for the BE cards.

At the end of the Damage Step, when this card attacks an opponent's monster, but the opponent's monster was not destroyed by the battle: You can banish that opponent's monster.

BE's best fusion card in Duel Links, attacks 2 times on monsters, cannot be destroyed by battle, removes untarget,.... This will be the card that we summon the most because it is relatively easy to summon, and because The ability cannot be destroyed in combat, it will become a fairly hard wall, and will even counterattack by banishing if attacked (this is an untarget).

"Black Luster Soldier" + "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" Must be Fusion Summoned. This card gains 500 ATK for each Dragon monster you control, except this card.

Listening to the conditions, it seems quite difficult to summon, but in reality, with skills and Ultimate Fusion , summoning this card is strangely simple. The fusion card will take materials from the grave, field and hand, so we can easily get the 3-headed BE from the grave that was brought down by skill + BLS anywhere to Fusion.

The effect is not too outstanding, but this card will probably still be quite necessary because Successor Soul only allows us to attack with 1 monster that turn. So if we accidentally use that card during our turn, we will need this card to be able to OTK (Normally on the field this card will have an ATK of about >5000).

Any strong rank 8 XYZ can be put in this BE. Depending on the number of cards we own, we should probably pay the most attention to the two cards Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star and Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison because these two cards are the strongest for BE to confront decks. current meta

If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "World Chalice" monster from your hand.

This 2-card Link combo is relatively useful for BE:

                    • Firstly, with Imduk, we can Link summon with BE normal then we will get 1 more Normal summon thanks to Imduk's effect. Then we can summon the second 2 normal BEs to the field or the Spirit of White to remove Backrow.

                    • With Knightmare Phoenix, this card is too familiar to everyone. We can combine this card with the above mentioned Imduk (Imduk + Spirit of White) to create a combo that eliminates up to 2 enemy Spell/Trap cards. But really, it will be quite resource consuming and only do that when it is really necessary.
