Instructions for playing Tri-Brigade ft Zoodiac

Instructions for playing Tri-Brigade ft Zoodiac

Hello everyone, did you have a happy Lunar New Year? I do, but I also have a lot of free time to write tutorials for you guys haha :v That's all for chatting, so what's the main topic today? Tri-Brigade and Zoodiac !!! This is a combination that is probably too familiar to those who are familiar with playing with Tri-Brigade sets. Not only that, introducing this combination will be very suitable for newbies to learn to build along. Because after all, this is another quite cheap Top Tier deck that YGO Vietnam wants to introduce.

P/s: Isn't it reasonable for the Year of the Tiger to introduce this line of articles ;)

overview

overview

The main theme as well as the main Engine of the deck is Tri-Brigade . The deck includes Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monsters. The name Tri-Brigade may be a combination of the words Tribe and Brigade. Gameplay revolves around trying to send as many Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monsters to the grave so that the Tri-Brigade can link summon by banishing an equal number of Beasts, Beast-Warriors, or Winged Beasts. The total number of Link Arrows of the Link monster of the corresponding type intended to be summoned.

Because of this theme of the line, we immediately think of the possible accompanying and combined effects of Zoodiac monsters. However, in this deck, Zoodiac plays the role of reinforcing the resources for Tri-Brigade .

Abbreviations

Like the previous articles I have written, this section is absolutely indispensable for you. The usual acronyms will be the names of the Tri-Brigades and Zoodiacs or some hard-to-read card names
  • Graveyard = GY
  • Lifepoint = LP
  • Tri-Brigade = TriBri
  • Tri-Brigade Fraktall = Frak
  • Zoodiac Thoroughblade = Blade
  • Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom = Ferr
  • Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm the Rampant Rampager = Bear
  • Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller = Rugal
  • Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen = Shuraig

The Tri-Brigade

Tri-Brigade Nervall (2-3x)
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Nervall
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Nervall

As the main searcher of the deck, let's not talk about its first effect because most TriBri have such an effect. What's worth mentioning is the second effect: When sent to the grave, it will give you 1 TriBri monster from the deck, whatever you need it can provide, except itself.

Tri-Brigade Kerass (1-3x)
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Kerass
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Kerass

Its only ability is to create a two-card combo with Nervall, which provides 1 TriBri and does not cost a Normal Summon turn.

Tri-Brigade Fraktall (3x)
R rarity
Tri-Brigade Fraktall
R rarity
Tri-Brigade Fraktall

This will be the main vertebra for the TriBri combo. Frak's ability creates more materials for summoning Link by sending itself to the grave. At the same time, you can send Nervall to the grave to provide more TriBri needed in your hand situation. What a great card!

Tri-Brigade Kitt (3x)
R rarity
Tri-Brigade Kitt
R rarity
Tri-Brigade Kitt

Like Frak, Kitt helps replenish grave materials quite well. You can throw Frak into the grave and then bring Kitt to the grave and bring Nervall down again to quickly refill materials for when you perform the Link summon. An extremely useful card, so it's definitely worth playing multiple copies.

The Zoodiac

Zoodiac Thoroughblade (2-3x)
SR rarity
Zoodiac Thoroughblade
SR rarity
Zoodiac Thoroughblade

The effect of sending cards to the grave is useful for letting Xyz Zoodiacs use them later to perform combos. In addition, giving you an additional free draw as well as an additional bonus reward.

Zoodiac Whiptail (3x)
R rarity
Zoodiac Whiptail
R rarity
Zoodiac Whiptail

Whiptail's effect is simply to attach itself to the material of an Xyz Beast Warrior, then the Xyz monster attached to the material will have an effect when fighting the opponent's monster, then after Damage Calculation, the opponent's monster will The opponent will be expelled immediately, no matter how great the attack or how great the opponent is. Thanks to this ability to attach materials anytime, anywhere, we can summon Whiptail to attack first and attach it to a certain Xyz later to gain another 1200 ATK.

Zoodiac Ramram (2-3x)
R rarity
Zoodiac Ramram
R rarity
Zoodiac Ramram

If Ramram is destroyed by battle or card effect, it can call a Zoodiac from the grave, which we can ask Zoodiac Drident to do, with 2000 defense and can add effects to Beast-Warrior type Xyz to help protect protects their monsters from traps or effects that target it, most players rate this card quite highly.

Zoodiac Ratpier (1x)
SR rarity
Limited to 1 copy
Zoodiac Ratpier
SR rarity
Limited to 1 copy
Zoodiac Ratpier

This is the most OP Zoodiac card in this line and maybe that's why we still can't use it right now (banned :v) but I think it's worth introducing this mouse to you. (just in case the banlist releases it :/)

Ratpier's effect simply refills material not only for Zoodiac but also for Tri-Brigade . What makes it OP is the effect of being used as an Xyz material: continuously summoning copies of it to the field (in the meta, this ability is quite appreciated).

Spell and Trap of both Engine lines

Since the use of magic and traps in both card lines is quite small, I will combine them in one section!

Zoodiac Barrage (3x)
UR rarity
Zoodiac Barrage
UR rarity
Zoodiac Barrage

A very versatile magic card with the effect of choosing a card you control and can special summon 1 Zoodiac. If destroyed by an opponent's card effect, it will become an Xyz material for an Xyz monster. your.

And fortunately, this card is not limited or banned, so you can still use 2 to 3 copies of it.

Tri-Brigade Oath (3x)
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Oath
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Oath

A trap card helps us call more Tribrigade to the field during the opponent's turn with the main purpose of allowing Shurade who is on the field to activate his effect to banish 1 card of the opponent.

The second effect, perhaps when you have enough monsters, Link will activate when you need at least 1 monster for each type of Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monster on the field to be able to select 1 face-up backrow of the opponent. Defend to negate until end of turn (can do this while their backrow is active, Oath's effect will be activated to negate).

Tri-Brigade Revolt (1-2x)
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Revolt
N rarity
Tri-Brigade Revolt

Can special summon any number of banished Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters in the grave, but can immediately summon 1 Link Tri-Brigade monster that only uses materials from those monsters.

Perhaps there is no need to say much about these handtraps because they are a must-have in every deck to prevent or interrupt the opponent's turn, so just multiply by 3 depending on your preference.

Currently, with the banlist given by Master Duel, we can use up to 2 copies of this card. An extremely OP magic card with the ability to completely counter your opponent's handtraps.

The effect is quite simple, helping to restore stock if the Extra Deck runs out of necessary monsters or if the hand is too bad.

Extra Deck

The Extra Deck will go from Zoodiacs to Tri-Brigade then some other good Link support monsters.

Zoodiac Chakanine (2x)
N rarity
Zoodiac Chakanine
N rarity
Zoodiac Chakanine

If you already have a Zoodiac monster in your grave, you should try to summon Zoodiac Chakanine as soon as possible. Chakanine is considered the origin of the Zoodiac Combo, removing one ingredient then we can call the Zoodiac monster in the grave to the field, from there we can call another Zoodiac Xyz

Zoodiac Drident (1x)
UR rarity
Zoodiac Drident
UR rarity
Zoodiac Drident

If you have Ramram on your field, you can ask Drident to destroy Ramram and Ramram can summon another Zoodiac in the grave. At the same time, due to the quick effect, Drident is quite mobile and can destroy 1 opponent's monster or some nasty face-up magic/trap (Although many players want to play 3, they are limited so they can only play 1: v )

Zoodiac Tigermortar (2x)
R rarity
Zoodiac Tigermortar
R rarity
Zoodiac Tigermortar

The main mascot of 2022 has arrived. Tigermortar's ability is quite useful in helping attach materials to other Zoodiac Xyz. Mainly added to Chakanine when it has just been raised from the grave, then Chakaninne will call additional monsters on the field. Just keep repeating it until you have enough fun to call Link onto the field.

The initial combo will mainly revolve around the above 3 cards. If done well, there will be quite a few resources in the grave for Tri-Brigade to show off. In case there is only one Zoodiac in hand and no Zoodiac in the grave, you should go to Drident to destroy one of your opponent's monsters to reduce the possibility of spamming monsters.

Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom (2x)
SR rarity
Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom
SR rarity
Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom

When there are 2 to 3 Beast, Beast-Warrior, Winged Beast monsters on the field, you should try to summon them to activate the special summoning effect Tri-Brigade from your hand. From there Tri-Brigade that will continue to summon the Tri-Brigade Another link by expelling the Zoodiacs lying in the grave. If this card is sent to the grave, you can add 1 card to the first position of the main deck and then remove 1 card from your hand to the first position of the main deck (1 for 1).

Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm the Rampant Rampager (1x)
SR rarity
Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm the Rampant Rampager
SR rarity
Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm the Rampant Rampager

Bear's initial effect of calling back a banished monster is nothing worth mentioning, but when Bear is sent to the grave, it will allow 1 additional Tri-Brigade spell/trap from the deck, although it is disabled. Locking in can only call Tri-Brigade monsters, but having Bear also opens up many new combos for the deck and makes it simple to get Tri-Brigade Revolt into your hand.

Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller (1-2x)
R rarity
Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller
R rarity
Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller

  • Rugal's first effect can bring back a monster from its Graveyard to the field during your opponent's Main Phase, that monster's effect is negated and the End Phase can return it to the hand, if Rugal Being on top of Shuraig is so good we can use Shuraig's effect to banish 1 card :v .
  • The second effect is also quite good, when sent down, the grave will decrease by 300 ATK corresponding to each different type of monster you control. It wouldn't be bad if we could use Rugal and a Beast, Beast Warrior, or Winged Beast monster as materials for Shuraig, thereby activating Rugal's effect.

Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen (2-3x)
UR rarity
Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen
UR rarity
Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen

The deck's main monster has the strongest attack power in the deck, and the effect is equally strong when it is specially summoned or a Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster is specially summoned and can be banished. appears 1 card on the field and of course the effect is only "one per turn" :v At the same time, if sent to the grave, you can add 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast with a level equal to or lower than the total number of Beasts, Beast-Warriors, or Winged Beasts are banished.

Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops

A support or can also be called the main boss when the conditions on the field you have enough Zoodiac Xyz. Helps recycle those Xyz and use their effects continuously and continuously. Another plus point is that the attack power is quite high and it is only Link 3.

Hraesvelgr, the Desperate Doom Eagle

2 Tech monsters are quite good, when you're stuck, you have a normal Kit or Nervall, then go to Almiraj and start using the general effect when sending to the grave.

As for Doom Eagle, he is a link 3 that knows how to clear the opponent's grave when he knows how to push the monsters they have placed in the grave, like the big dragons of Dragonmaids. In many cases, Doom Eagle will have an ATK of 4800 and fight extremely hard. painful.

Ancient Warriors Oath - Double Dragon Lords (1-2x)

Ancient Warriors Oath - Double Dragon Lords

Another great support monster for our Tri-Brigades and Zoodiacs . Let's not talk about the first effect for now, what is worth mentioning is the second effect, because Tri-Brigade all have effs when sent to the grave, so Double Dragon Lords' sending helps us both act on Tri-Brigade 's eff and push one. opp card.

Another interesting option that I think you should consider adding to your deck. The ability to spam monsters is quite good (mainly pushing Nervall up) but on the other hand it has a limitation: it cannot be used to summon Link.

Another way to play that doesn't rely too much on the main monster is Shuraig, you also have many options to bring the main monster you need to the field, diversify the way you play, so the opponent will not know what you will do and helpless with your yard.

The main monster of most Xyz based decks and the case for this deck is Zoodiac. It's best to play 1 card.

General comment

Looking through the above sections, you may have realized that this deck depends largely on the Extra Deck. So you need to build yourself a good Extra Deck. Hope the above items have been of some help to you :)

Strength:

  • Tri-Brigade supports and elevates a lot as well as Zoodiac supports the opposite.
  • There are many ways to combo, methods of summoning links using effects instead of traditional ones to help make the link deck more active.
  • Able to play Xyz combos, or set up the field with 3 negates and a main monster that knows banish cards.
  • High stability and the ability to search for each other make the deck rarely have dead hands.

Weakness:

  • It's easy to pick up strong handtraps like Maxx "C", Droll, Nibiru,...
  • If the link summoning effect is disabled, many advantages will be lost, as well as resources wasted.
  • If you encounter heavy combo bets like dragon link, it is very difficult to win.

Tri-Brigade Nervall

The first and simplest combo of the Tri-Brigades will start with you having Kerass and Kitt in your hand
  • Drop Kitt from your hand into the grave to summon Kerass
  • Kitt's effect will activate, sending Nervall to the grave
  • Nervall's effect activates, bringing Frak to your hand
  • Use Frak to send any monster with it to the grave (your grave is now loaded with approximately 4 monsters).
  • Use Kerass's effect to summon Link Ferr first to use the special summon effect if you have another monster in your hand (ideally a Tri-Brigade).
  • Assuming you summon 1 Tri-Brigade thanks to Ferr, you can use that monster's effect to special summon Double Dragon Lords for an effect that interrupts your opponent.
  • To support the above, you will want to use Ferr, Kerass to bring Rugal to the field (Ferr goes to the grave to draw +1), and so on your opponent's turn, you use Rugal's effect to bring 1 monster from the grave. field, then use Double Dragon Lords' effect to send it back to the grave to activate his interrupt ability.
  • OR you can also go to your boss - Shuraig but I think you should wait until the next turn to do so or if you go later, do so to quickly expel the opponent's field.
Of course, there will be many other combos of Tri-Brigade, but I will only briefly introduce how to use their combos. If possible, please share your combos with YGO Vietnam right away! ;)

The Zoodiac combo will also simply start by first summoning to the field 2 Xyz monsters or sometimes 3, with only 2 Zoodiac cards (Blade, Whiptail) in hand.
  • Summon Blade to the field, Blade's effect allows you to discard 1 Zoodiac card in your hand to draw +1.
  • Xyz out Chakanine.
  • Use Chakanine to bring 1 Zoodiac from the grave to the field.
  • Xyz out Tigermortar.
  • Using Chakanine is no longer useful to Xyz to create another Zoodiac (ideally Boarbow)
  • Use Tigermortar to attach a Zoodiac from the grave to Boarbow (Blade).
  • Use the existing Whiptail in your hand to attach it to Boarbow, now you have 1 Xyz that can attack directly with 2k8 damage. In addition, when you finish punching, you can call Zeus onto the field to put pressure on your opponent.
Thus, with just 1 normal summon, you can bring out quite a few strong monsters with this Zoodiac combo and can do it together and in parallel with the above Tri-Brigade combo. However, just like the combo above, if there is another combo that is better and want to share, please contact YGO Vietnam immediately!

Final words

So, the end of the article about the top tier deck Tri-Brigade ft Zoodiac has come to an end. A pretty op deck with the ability to continuously dance, not to mention the ability to banish quite strongly enough to punch your opponent before they can react... unless they have a handtrap :v because that can be their biggest weakness. the Tri-Brigade.

I hope through this article, you will have a great time building yourself a strong Tri-Brigade deck as well as being able to climb Rank well. If you have any questions or problems, please contact YGO Vietnam immediately!
