Main monsters
In the first part, we will learn about the courtiers of the Zexal Server, the Zexal Weapons and the messengers from the Astral world:
ZS - Ascended Sage (x3 - 100%)
ZS - Ascended Sage
ATK:
900
DEF:
300
If you control no cards, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). A "Utopia" Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect. ● If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Normal Spell from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "ZS - Ascended Sage" once per turn.
The card is almost the most important in the deck. Ascended Sage acts as a level 4 monster that can jump onto the field, supporting xyz rank 4 very easily. In addition, when used to XYZ Summon a Utopia monster, Ascended Sage also searches for us a Rank-Up-Magic straight from the deck! Common targets are Rank-Up-Magic Zexal Force to reach rank 5 Utopias, or Hyper-Rank-Up-Magic Hope Force to reach rank 10 Utopias,... With your ability to search and spam rank 4, play 3 is obvious.
ZS - Armed Sage (x3 - 80%)
ZS - Armed Sage
ATK:
300
DEF:
900
If the only monster you control is 1 Level 4 monster not named "ZS - Armed Sage", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). A "Utopia" Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect. ● If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can add 1 "ZW -" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "ZS - Armed Sage" once per turn.
ZS knows how to jump next after Ascended Sage. Usually, we will go to Ascended Sage and then go to Armed Sage to perform XYZ rank 4. Like Ascended Sage, Armed Sage will pick up a ZW monster from the deck and put it in our hand when used as a material for a Utopia monster. Our target also only has 3 monsters: ZW - Lightning Blade, ZW - Tornado Bringer and ZW - Twin Saber Pegasus. All 3 are strong ZWs and have extremely good abilities.
ZW - Pegasus Twin Saber, ZW - Tornado Bringer and ZW - Lightning Blade (x1 - 100%)
ZW - Pegasus Twin Saber
ATK:
1000
DEF:
2100
You can only control 1 "ZW - Pegasus Twin Saber". If your opponent's LP are at least 2000 higher than yours, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can target 1 "Utopia" monster you control; equip this card you control to it as an Equip Spell that gives it 1000 ATK. Once per turn, while this card is equipped to a monster, you can negate a monster effect activated on your opponent's field.
ZW - Tornado Bringer
ATK:
1300
DEF:
1800
You can target 1 "Utopia" monster you control; equip this monster from your hand or your side of the field to that target. It gains 1300 ATK. While this card is equipped to a monster, your opponent cannot target that monster with card effects. If a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead. You can only control 1 face-up "ZW - Tornado Bringer".
ZW - Lightning Blade
ATK:
1200
DEF:
2000
You can target 1 "Utopia" monster you control; equip this monster from your hand or your side of the field to that target. It gains 1200 ATK. While this card is equipped to a monster, face-up "ZW -" cards you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. If a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed by a card effect, destroy this card instead. You can only control 1 face-up "ZW - Lightning Blade".
ZW's strongest trio of swords. Lightning Blade helps us prevent ZWs from dying due to effects, Tornado Bringer helps us prevent our Utopias from being targeted. If the Utopia dies, there is a weapon that will die instead. Twin Saber Pegasus has an extremely strong ability when equipped when it can negate the effect of a monster on the opponent's field. In addition, this effect does not create a chain so it cannot be negated by Borreload Savage Dragon or Toadally Awesome,... Just by holding 1 - 2 swords, our Utopia is enough to make things difficult for the opponent.
Astral Kuriboh (x1 - 80%)
Astral Kuriboh
ATK:
100
DEF:
100
You can reveal 1 "Number" Xyz Monster in your Extra Deck; Special Summon this card from your hand. If you do, this card's Level becomes the revealed monster's Rank, also while it is face-up in the Monster Zone, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except "Number" Xyz Monsters. You can only use this effect of "Astral Kuriboh" once per turn. A "Number" Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect. ● Cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effects.
A strong spammer who knows how to jump onto the field and adjust his level well. In addition, there is an additional effect that protects against death from battle or the opponent's card effect for Number monsters that use this card as material. However, the price to pay is that you cannot special summon other monsters from the Extra Deck except Number. Personally, I think this price is quite cheap and worth the trade-off. However, up to now there is still no way to search for it effectively, so playing it or not is up to you.
Astraltopia (x3 - 100%)
Astraltopia
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
If an Xyz Monster(s) is on the field: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can send 1 other card from your hand or field to the GY; add 1 "Xyz", "Onomat", "Zexal", or "Number" Spell/Trap, from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Astraltopia" once per turn.
This is another spammer, but the activation conditions are much more difficult. You must control an Xyz monster to get this one. In return for Astral Kuriboh, this card has no restriction. Therefore, if you have many other Xyz options, you should play this card in priority over Astral Kuriboh.
Spell/Trap
Xyz Change Tactics (x1 - 100%)
The draw card effect will help you chain block well to avoid your key card being eaten by a few handtraps. Combined with Rank-Up-Magic Zexal Force, you will have the ZW/ZS piece you need. But some builds have completely avoided playing this card to save slots for other stronger cards, so it's okay if you don't play it.
Zexal Construction (x3 - 100%)
Zexal Construction
Reveal 1 card in your hand, and if you do, add 1 of the following cards from your Deck to your hand, then shuffle the revealed card into the Deck. ● "ZW -" monster ● "ZS -" monster ● "Zexal" Spell/Trap ● "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell ● "Rank-Down-Magic" Spell You can only activate 1 "Zexal Construction" per turn.
Zexal's strongest searcher card. Exchange 1 card in hand for 1 card ZW, ZS, Zexal, RUM/RDM. Zexal Construction helps you get missing pieces in combos, as well as make the end board more stable.
Rank-Up-Magic Zexal Force (x1-80%)
Rank-Up-Magic Zexal Force
Target 1 Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Utopia" or "ZW -" monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster you control, by using it as material, and if you do, take 1 "ZW -" or "ZS -" monster from your Deck and place it on top of your Deck. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) If your opponent's LP are at least 2000 higher than yours: You can banish this card from your GY; draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Rank-Up-Magic Zexal Force" once per turn.
Searched by Ascended Sage, Utopic Astral Force, Zexal Construction. We will use this card to build Leo Utopia Ray, then use 1 ZW to place on the head to get it into the hand using Xyz Change Tactics (mostly). In addition, when below opp 2000 LP, you can banish to draw 1 card. Doesn't have many outstanding abilities, only good when you have Xyz Change Tactics on the field.
Hyper Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce (x1-100%)
Hyper Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce
Target 1 Rank 9 or lower "Utopia" Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon 1 Rank 10 or higher "Utopia" or "Utopic" Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck, by using that Xyz Monster you control as material. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) If an Xyz Monster(s) is Special Summoned by the effect of a Rank 10 or higher "Utopia" or "Utopic" Xyz Monster, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 of those Special Summoned monsters; attach this card to it as material. You can only use each effect of "Hyper Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce" once per turn.
Search by Ascended Sage and Zexal Construction. Hyper-Rank-Up-Magic (HRUM) helps you pull up the Utopic Dragners field. Additionally, HRUM will become material for an Xyz monster if there is an Xyz monster summoned by Dragonar. We will find out in detail later!
Numbers Protection (x1-100%)
Numbers Protection
When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated, while you control a "Number" Xyz Monster: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. If a "Number" Xyz Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect, while this card is in your GY: You can Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use 1 "Numbers Protection" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
The ability to negate and reset is also very nice. However, Number Protect is quite difficult to search, it can only be searched with Utopic Astral Force, so the amount of play will depend on the number of Utopic Astral Force in your deck.
Extra Deck
Number 39: Utopia (x1-2 - 100%)
The heart of the entire deck. Sometimes Utopia will help us OTK opponents, or it will be a transition step to call out other Utopias. But now, because Utopia Double has the ability to transform itself into other Utopias, Utopia's role in the deck is gradually decreasing, but we should still play it because this is a card that plays an important role in OTK. and material transfer.
Number 39: Utopia Double (x1 - 100%)
Number 39: Utopia Double
ATK:
0
DEF:
2500
2 Level 4 monsters (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; add 1 "Double or Nothing!" from your Deck to your hand, then Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Utopia" Xyz Monster, except "Number 39: Utopia Double", by using this face-up card you control as material, and if you do, its ATK becomes doubled, but it cannot attack directly. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) You can only use this effect of "Number 39: Utopia Double" once per turn.
The Xyz Change effect is extremely convenient, contributing to reducing the power of Utopia and the Rank-Up-Magic more or less. Sometimes, you can avoid Infinite Impermanence for ZS as a material by: using ZS to Xyz to Utopia Double, then when you activate the Rank-Up eff, the opponent points to Double, immediately you use Double to Xyz Change. At that time, you have successfully avoided one of opp's traps/handtraps. It's just a shame that we have to have Double or Nothing "dumbbells"! Only in the deck can it be activated. Therefore, the number of plays for this card depends on the number of Double or Nothing! in deck.
Number S39: Utopia Prime and Number C39: Utopia Ray (x1 - 100%)
Number S39: Utopia Prime
ATK:
2510
DEF:
2000
3 Level 4 LIGHT monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 39: Utopia" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If your opponent's LP is at least 3000 higher than yours: You can detach 3 Xyz Materials from this card and pay LP so that you only have 10 left; destroy as many Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls as possible, and if you do, banish them, then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each monster banished.
Number C39: Utopia Ray
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2000
3 Level 4 LIGHT monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 39: Utopia" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it gains 500 ATK and 1 monster your opponent controls loses 1000 ATK, until the End Phase. You must have 1000 Life Points or less to activate and to resolve this effect.
Only playing because of the ability to transfer Xyz Change to increase materials, but in reality I haven't seen any good cards.
Number S39: Utopia the Lightning (x1 - 100%)
Number S39: Utopia the Lightning
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2000
3 Level 5 LIGHT monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 4 "Utopia" monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Cannot be used as material for an Xyz Summon. If this card battles, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. Once per Chain, during damage calculation, if this card battles an opponent's monster while this card has a "Utopia" Xyz Monster as material (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; this card's ATK becomes 5000 during that damage calculation only.
Also a card with the ability Xyz Change, helping you increase materials. Sometimes helps you defeat opp monsters with annoying abilities like Ultimate Falcon, etc.
Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray (X1 - 100%)
Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2000
3 Level 5 monsters (This card is always treated as "Number C39: Utopia Ray".) Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; equip 1 "ZW -" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to this card as if it were equipped by that monster's effect. This effect's activation and effect cannot be negated. Once per turn, while this card is equipped with a "ZW -" Monster Card (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate its effects, and if you do, halve its ATK.
Call up thanks to Utopia Double or Rank-Up-Magic Zexal Force. Leo Utopia Ray has reduced the dependence on having 1 ZW on hand, instead, we can cut down its slot and replace it with other, more useful options. In addition, Quick Effect negate Leo Utopia Ray's own effect is also extremely annoying. Combined with Pegasus Twin Saber, we will create 2 layers of negate monster effects, increasing the discomfort significantly.
Number C39: Utopia Ray V (x0-1 )
Number C39: Utopia Ray V
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2000
3 Level 5 monsters When this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect): You can target 1 Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; return that target to the Extra Deck. If this card has a "Utopia" monster as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect. ● Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy that monster, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK on the field.
If you build RUM Zexal Force, you can play this card. Utopia Ray V will clear away obstacles on the field and make it easier for you to defeat your opponents.
Number 99: Utopia Dragonar (x1 - 100%)
Number 99: Utopia Dragonar
ATK:
3000
DEF:
3000
3+ Level 12 monsters (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number" monster that has a number between "1" and "100" in its name. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon.) The turn you activate this effect, other monsters you control cannot attack directly, also you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except Xyz Monsters. When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can change the ATK of the opponent's monster to 0. You can only use each effect of "Number 99: Utopia Dragonar" once per turn.
Can be called up thanks to Utopia Double or HRUM as we mentioned above. The first effect is very strong, allowing any Number (except Over-Hundred Number) to be called onto the field. Our Numbers have many monsters with strong effects such as Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy (with the ability to negate Spell effect), or Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon with the ability to sweep the entire opponent's field. Therefore, when Utopic Dragners and HRUM were released, they completely changed the gameplay of Utopia Zexal in general.
Support Engines
Dodododwarf Gogogoglove, Zubababancho Gagagacoat and Utopic Onomatopoeia (x3/3/2)
Dodododwarf Gogogoglove
ATK:
0
DEF:
1800
During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "Zubaba" or "Gagaga" monster from your hand. If you control a "Gogogo" or "Dododo" monster except "Dodododwarf Gogogoglove", while this card is in your GY: You can Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Dodododwarf Gogogoglove" once per turn.
Zubababancho Gagagacoat
ATK:
1800
DEF:
100
If you control a "Zubaba" or "Gagaga" monster except "Zubababancho Gagagacoat", while this card is in your hand: You can Special Summon this card. You can target 1 "Gogogo" or "Dododo" monster in your GY; Special Summon it, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Xyz Monsters. You can only use each effect of "Zubababancho Gagagacoat" once per turn.
Utopic Onomatopoeia
ATK:
1500
DEF:
1500
(This card is always treated as a "Zubaba", "Gagaga", "Gogogo", and "Dododo" card.) During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon up to 1 each "Zubaba", "Gagaga", "Gogogo", and/or "Dododo" monster(s) from your hand in Defense Position, also you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Xyz Monsters. You can only use this effect of "Utopic Onomatopoeia" once per turn.
The abilities of the three cards above will help you spam field Level 4 to Xyz much more quickly. Therefore, they are used in most Utopia builds.
Onomatopickup and Onomatopaira (x3/2)
Onomatopickup
When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Onomat" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Onomatopickup". You can target 1 "Zubaba", "Gagaga", "Gogogo", or "Dododo" monster you control; all monsters you currently control become that monster's Level until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field). You can only use this effect of "Onomatopickup" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Onomatopickup" per turn.
Onomatopickup will help you search for Onomatopaira. And from Onomatopaira we will take 2 of the 3 cards above into our hand so that our engine can start working.
Combo
For Engine Yuma, you will spin depending on your hand combination. Next I will introduce a basic combo of the deck:
Onomatopickup, Onomatopaira and Mystic Mine (x1/1/0.5)
Onomatopickup
When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Onomat" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Onomatopickup". You can target 1 "Zubaba", "Gagaga", "Gogogo", or "Dododo" monster you control; all monsters you currently control become that monster's Level until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field). You can only use this effect of "Onomatopickup" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Onomatopickup" per turn.
Mystic Mine
If your opponent controls more monsters than you do, your opponent cannot activate monster effects or declare an attack. If you control more monsters than your opponent does, you cannot activate monster effects or declare an attack. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if both players control the same number of monsters: Destroy this card.
In your hand you have 1 Onomatopaira, 1 Onomatopickup and any 1 card to use as bait for Onomatopaira.
summary
With the ability to continuously upgrade Xyz, end field with the deck, we will have 1 Dragners with 2 materials left, 1 Leo Utopia Ray with Pegasus Twin Saber equip. On the next turn, we get 1 Number 38 to negate the Spell effect. But the disadvantages of Utopia are still quite many. The Deck is not the same mechanism as Shark, where Shark only needs to perform 4 summons to be done, while Utopia must perform at least 5 summons to create a position of battle. Therefore, if Nibiru is eaten in the right place, we will no longer have the goods to continue executing the above combo. That is also one of the small disadvantages of Utopia's broad disadvantage - fear of handtrap. Therefore, we can add Crossout Designator to avoid both Nibiru and similar performance handtraps.
