Instructions for playing and building Traptrix
After nearly a month of Valentine's Day, is there anyone whose heart is broken and hurt by love? If not, you'll be trapped like me :v If so, perhaps this is an article about a line of articles related to that topic - Traptrix . This is a line of cards that is heavy on traps as the name suggests and is more about the theme of female monsters - very suitable for women and men who love loli :) But those things do not bring special points to the series. cards and bring the deck to the top tier (however, anyone who plays loli can also get to the top tier :v). So what special features does the deck have? Let's find out too!
overview

Traptrix are an archetypal line of cute little tree- and insect-like girls that will trick innocent men who follow them into their traps to eventually devour their prey. You will have to do the same thing to achieve victory with this deck.
Your main goal is to get Traptrix Sera onto the field, then lure your opponents into using resources, punish them for swarming the field with your many traps, and finally, end the game with the resources that Traptrix Sera will accumulate. accumulated for you.
If you want to build this deck, you will want to open Secret Pack Mother Nature's Snare , to unlock it you can craft any UR or SR of Traptrix . I recommend using Traptrix Myrmeleo (SR) or Traptrix Sera (UR). You can also try your luck in the Stalwart Force Selection Pack, which has many great staple leaves and Traptrix Myrmeleo (SR).
The deck is control, which means resource management is key. If you want to manage your resources then it's best to know how most other decks work in order to interrupt at the right time. Furthermore, because your archetype is based on traps, it's quite slow and the matches you'll play can take longer than most other archetypes. However, don't worry because they have easier variations that almost anyone can play.
Deck difficulty: Medium, depends on game knowledge and variation

Abbreviations
The following are the abbreviations in this article, partly because the names of the Traptrix are too long, sometimes you will get confused, so instead, looking at the acronyms will help you a bit more. there.
- Graveyard = GY
- Lifepoint = LP
- Level = lvl
- Main Deck (main deck) = MD
- Extra Deck (Extra deck) = ED
Core Traptrix
MD's Traptrix monsters are unaffected by the "Hole" trap that makes mirror matches so terrible in YugiOh. Most monsters have normal and special summon effects.
Traptrix Mantis and Traptrix Myrmeleo (3x)
Your bread and butter, I highly recommend playing both with 3 copies. Traptrix Mantis is your monster searcher and Traptrix Myrmeleo searches for any "Hole" traps.
- Traptrix Mantis can also return any of your set Spells/Traps to your hand and place them back on the field at the same turn. Great for avoiding targeted removals like Cosmic Cyclone or Twin Twisters . You can return traps set by Traptrix Dionaea to your hand to keep them on the field or activate Traptrix Sera easily.
- Traptrix Myrmeleo , when special summoned, is an effect of Mystical Space Typhoon on your opponent's spells/traps. This is a Compulsory effect that will trigger regardless of whether your opponent has magic or traps. This means that the Traptrix Sera effect will also trigger if you summon her on your first turn. You just need to be careful when bringing her back to avoid destroying magic/traps like Waking the Dragon or Cybernetic Overflow .
Traptrix Dionaea and Traptrix Vesiculo (Dionaea 2-3x; Vesiculo 1-2x)
- Dionaea
- Traptrix Dionaea will bring back a Traptrix from GY when summoned normally, this is a great follow up for you on turn two as you will usually summon Traptrix Sera , allowing for XYZ Rank 4 play or Link play, depending on what you need. Dionaea's special summoning effect will place a "Hole" Trap from the GY. I recommend using that trap quickly because it will be banished next turn. You can return it with Traptrix Mantis to reset it, avoiding the banishment effect.
- Traptrix Dionaea 's special summoning effect is a "When" effect, so it's easy to miss its timing, so be careful with your chain links.
- Vesiculo
- Traptrix Vesiculo is an extender, and it's pretty awesome to have an entire archetype that relies so heavily on its regular summon. Her special summoning effect will activate Traptrix Sera . If you get a chance to trigger her GY effect, it's a pretty good recovery tool. Just remember, you can only activate one of the two effects per turn.
Finally, don't hesitate to create Sera with either of the above two cards, even if you can't activate their effects, Sera will bring much more value than if you kept them in your hand.
Traptrix Atrax (0-2x)
A card that is quite underrated. You can play this card in a few specific variations, mainly variations that use Torrential Tribute and/or Needle Ceiling . It makes your normal traps impossible to disable, however your opponent can still chain your traps. For example, if your opponent activates Herald of Ultimateness against your Needle Ceiling , they will have to fold at the cost of 1 fairy but the Needle Ceiling will still resolve immediately afterwards.
Cards like Infinite Impermanence or Forbidden Chalice are activated on the same chain as one of your traps, targeting Atrax after negation will result in your trap being disabled.
Activating the "Hole" trap from your hand during her effects rarely comes into play, you can keep the "Hole" trap if Traptrix Rafflesia is on the field. You can directly activate Gravedigger's Trap Hole if your opponent activates the handtrap. This effect can be huge on your first turn, as it gives you access to Gravedigger's Trap Hole to block handtraps like Nibiru, the Primal Being on your first turn, as you don't need to set previous trap.

Traptrix Nepenthes and Traptrix Genlisea (0-1x)
Both of these cards do not qualify for adding them to your deck. They need to be on the field and demand too much to get some of their value. However, the artwork is the only cool thing about these cards :v (who doesn't like loli)
Nepenthes can give you additional access to Dionaea and Myrmeleo's special summons, so she can be used with 1 copy
In any Traptrix deck, you will want to have between 8 and 12 Traptrix monsters in MD. With this amount, you will usually get 1 Traptrix monster on your starting turn while still having traps to control your opponent.

Tech
Parallel eXceed and Iron Dragon Tiamaton (3x)
You should choose between one of them and play at 3 copies to get the most out of the cards. I really like Parallel eXceed because it will be a free XYZ Rank 4 on your first turn or 2 free monsters for one Link like for Knightmares .
Iron Dragon Tiamaton has a quick effect that can block Extra Monster Zones and can also destroy magic/traps. The destruction effect occurs in a new chain after summoning. You will need to play your Magic/Trap in specific areas to make it easier to activate, however by doing so you may lose your magic/trap area.

Magic
There aren't many spells you can play, but a few are very useful. You shouldn't play many of them because Imperial Order is a must-have in your deck.
Pot of Desires, Pot of Extravagance and Pot of Prosperity (3x)
My personal recommendation is Pot of Prosperity because you can choose any to banish in your Extra Deck and you usually won't need more. I'm not a fan of Pot of Desires as it can banish your combo pieces but the draw 2 effect makes up for that. I would say the same thing for Pot of Extravagance but it is also a card that increases draw power. I would play any of them at 3 copies despite how important they are. You can play more but I don't recommend as they conflict with each other quite a bit, except for Pot of Desires and Pot of Prosperity if used in this order.
Trap "Hole"
The other half of the Traptrix deck, they can be set by Sera from MD, searched by Myrmeleo or used from MD with Rafflesia. You should play at least 3 to 4 copies of them, you can go up to 6 or 7 depending on how you play.
Floodgate Trap Hole (1-3x)
It prevents any Link Summon attempt with the given monster and blocks a zone (1 cell). Especially good against Pendulum decks because you can set every monster face down after pendulum, you can also prevent effects that can trigger like Adamancipator , also preventing them from special summoning others for a face-down monsters have no attributes. However, you can still use face-down monsters to Fusion. I'll play 1 or 2 of these but if you have the space then 3 copies is always best. Note, Link monsters cannot be placed face down because they cannot be placed in a defensive position.
Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare (0-1x)
Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare is a great trap to get a copy of depending on what you play with specific decks. Sky Striker is one of them, not as effective but still good against Zoodiac. It will also activate Traptrix Allomerus . It's not as necessary as the other cards but you can add it because it will never be a deadhand.
Note: this card is not considered a Traptrix according to the wiki. This information is not related at all but I just wanted to point it out :v how about sometimes it helps your plays?

Traps are often different
"Hole" Traps by themselves will not be enough to win, which is why we will need more traps. In this section, I will show you some of the core traps that a Traptrix set may need, there will be many variations but I will update later.
Infinite Impermanence (2-3x)
Infinite Impermanence is a very good handtrap. It is almost a perfect fit in Traptrix as it can be activated from the hand, it can also negate Skill Drain or Rivalry of Warlords for one turn. Note, you can only disable Skill Drain if Infinite Impermanence has been placed in the correct column containing Skill Drain, because you will not be able to negate an entire column from your hand. You also cannot activate Infinite Impermanence if all monsters on the field have been disabled, as you cannot negate a monster whose effects have been negated (such as a Normal monster like Blue -Eyes).
The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine (3x)
Three copies of it will be needed in the deck. It can help activate both of Sera's effects on the first turn thanks to the effect, it can be activated on the reset turn if you don't have traps in GY. It gives Rank 4 for free thanks to Traptrix Sera's first effect, which is usually Time Thief Redoer because it's a great card and will give you information about the deck you're up against in their Standby Phase. The only limitation that prevents you from using The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine is that you cannot activate Shade on the turn it is set if there is already a trap in the GY.
Torrential Tribute and Needle Ceiling (2-3x)
Both are very strong traps so will be played in 2 or 3 copies. They are also quite cheap to craft. One downside is that they tend to clash with Floodgate Trap Hole . When using either card, you will want Rafflesia on the field to protect Traptrix monsters on the field with her effect. You can also play Traptrix Atrax to avoid having your traps disabled. Allomerus also works well with these pitfalls. You can also steal any destroyed monsters from your opponent's GY.
Compulsory Evacuation Device and Compulsory Escape Device (2-3x)
It's important to have other traps that can deal with smaller threats or decks that rely heavily on one big monster. These are the two best options. Compulsory Evacuation Device returns a monster to the hand, which is a good interruption. The Compulsory Escape Device returns the monster to the deck, but you have to do the same thing, it's best to activate when your opponent only controls one monster to keep them from choosing. Feel free to play one of them in 2 to 3 copies. Playing both can be effective, but it won't be as effective.
Ice Dragon's Prison (2-3x)
First, this trap steals monsters from the opponent's grave so they can't recycle them, especially their bosses. Second, it banishes almost all monsters of the same type as the stolen monster (assuming you are facing a line of cards that uses exactly 1 type of monster, your opponent's field will certainly be empty). Overall, it's a normal trap worth putting in your deck and facing the current meta.
Evenly Matched (2-3x)
One of the greatest pitfalls whether ahead or behind. It banishes face down, meaning your opponent's monster will not activate any effects if banished. The way to set it up is also quite easy, because it can be activated in your hand, so if you go first and your hand is too bad, you can set it up first, or keep it in your hand (it is recommended to keep it in your hand because the opponent will definitely find it). how to remove the backrow before punching you), after finishing BP, the opponent's field will be empty and you will be able to breathe easily in the next turn.
Traptrix Extra Deck
All Traptrix ED monsters have effects that are unaffected by traps. However, with XYZs it's a different story, they just don't matter as long as they keep the attached material. However, if summoned after Skill Drain , their effects will still be disabled, unless summoned first then luckily.
Traptrix Sera (3x)
The heart of the deck, which can be linked out using any Traptrix monster. You should play as many as possible, no less than 2 copies. Her first effect is to special summon any Traptrix not currently on the field from the deck when a normal trap is activated. The second effect allows you to set any Trap "Hole" from your deck when the Traptrix monster effect is activated.
As a side note, both of her effects will create a new chain after the chain whichever effect meets its requirements. Her first effect can also trigger from her opponent's normal traps.
The first combo will usually be to normally summon any Traptrix , then summon Traptrix Sera . Then, activate The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine to trigger Traptrix Sera's first effect. You can use Myrmeleo to activate her effect, Mantis to kick one of your spells/traps back into your hand, or Dionaea if you have the "Hole" trap in your GY. As a result of any of these effects, the second effect will trigger, allowing you to set traps on the field and summon any Rank 4 XYZ monster.
You should protect Sera as much as possible but you should always remember that you are playing a control deck. If you have to let her go because your opponent plans to perform her combo in Main Phase 2, you simply accept it and save your interruption for their combo.

Traptrix Cularia (1x)
Another new support for the deck. Strong but it's a Link-2 so you won't use it much. During your End Phase, you can bring back any Traptrix from the GY. Its main use is to have 1 Mystical Space Typhoon at the end of each of your turns thanks to Myrmeleo or recycling the "Hole" trap with Dionaea.
Its other effect causes you to keep a "Hole" trap on the field instead of sending it to the GY after using it. A great monster once you've searched out all the "Hole" traps in your deck and it will help you keep up with your opponents for longer matches.
You should summon her with Sera when you have used most if not all of the "Hole" traps and have enough monsters on MD to fully utilize both of her effects.

Traptrix Rafflesia (1-2x)
Rank 4 main XYZ of the deck. You can play one or more copies depending on the variant you want to play but one is usually enough. She is known for her effect of detaching a material and applying the effect of any "Hole" trap from the deck by sending it down to the GY. Gravedigger's Trap Hole and Floodgate Trap Hole are your main targets. If you choose to summon her after summoning Sera and use The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine , you will be able to block a Nibiru as this will be your fifth summon. Note, this effect is still a monster effect, although it copies trap effects and it can ignore Trap protection.
Her other effect protects other Traptrixes on the field from combat or destructive effects. This makes defending Sera a lot easier and allows the use of Torrential Tribute and Needle Ceiling to blow up your opponent's field and keep MD Traptrix on the field.
However, the protective effect has no effect on herself.
Finally, I highly recommend summoning her with Parallel eXceed rather than The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandin e + Traptrix monster because Time Thief Redoer is a better target for his one-card return effect cards in the deck.

Traptrix Allomerus (1x)
XYZ Rank 4 is the other deck of cards. You should play a copy. The effect to special summon a Traptrix from the GY is always great, and it can be one of the materials you detach as long as you already have a Traptrix in your GY.
The latter effect comes into play when playing variations based on Torrential Tribute and Needle Ceiling , as it's always good to get an extra beast, especially since you'll need more firepower to end the match faster. You can also activate with Ice Dragon's Prison .
Finally, you can craft her with 3 materials to create 4 materials Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder if you're running low on traps.

Other XYZs
Extra Deck options other than Traptrix. Surely you will need to insert quite a few of the cards I introduce below to stand firm in some matches. However, their price is not cheap to craft or roll pack...
First of all, the XYZs
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder (1x)
Boss of the boss in the game if you use XYZ. The summoning conditions are easy, clearing the field is even easier, not to mention, a very high stat (3000 ATK) is enough to keep the field for you next turn. Besides that, the effect of attaching a material to it is enough to make it one of the "must have" monsters in every deck.
However, Zeus has been limited to 1, so its use is also limited, but it is enough to make a difference. Furthermore, crafting Zeus is also quite cheap, not very expensive because you only need 1 copy of it.
Time Thief Redoer (1-2x)
Time Thief Redoer is very strong and is used mainly because we will be playing up to 3 copies of The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine . It has three effects that can be activated simultaneously depending on the material you separate. If it's a monster, he'll banish itself until the end of the End Phase, a great way to protect him, and if it's a spell you can draw a card. Finally, if you split a trap, which is made possible by The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine , you can return a face-up card to the top of the deck, you can also target the card of yourself, so do not activate this effect if your opponent has no face-up cards.
Time Thief Redoer 's other effect attaches the top card of your opponent's deck to itself allowing you to not only access the magical effect but also give you information about the deck you are facing. This effect occurs every Standby Phase, so it can help you plan when to activate your traps.
If you have The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine and any Traptrix monsters in your hand, summoning him instead of Rafflesia is also a good play depending on what your other cards are. Finally, Time Thief's effect is a Quick Effect, so you can activate it during your opponent's turn, which is why it's so good, because you can kick it back deck any monster that could pose a threat to Traptrix Sera or the rest of your field.

Drill Driver Vespenato (1x)
Drill Driver Vespenato is XYZ Rank 5, you can summon it using any other XYZ Rank 4. It has 2500 ATK and an armor-piercing effect, helping to defeat some nasty monsters. Its other effect will return from GY any monster level 5 or lower. You can target any Traptrix and activate their effect or any Artifact monster if you have one.
It's also a good way to deal with decks that rely on Number 59: Crooked Cook in addition to Kaiju.
Additionally, you cannot summon Zues the turn Drill Driver Vespenato is summoned.

Additionally, you cannot summon Zues the turn Drill Driver Vespenato is summoned.
Dreadnought Package
- Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid is always a pleasant surprise. Its effect allows you to summon any Rank 10 or higher Machine XYZ monster, and they are some good targets.
- Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer is Harpie's Feather Duster as well as your opponent cannot activate their magic/traps while you activate its effect. Not to mention Dam is big, but very big, with 5000 ATK.
- And Number 81: Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Super Dora is a large monster with 3200 ATK that can make any monster avoid being affected by card effects like Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon .
- If you have heard of "Cowboy for game", which refers to the effect of Gagaga Cowboy when in a defensive position, let me introduce to you "Gustav Max for game", which is bigger and better because it causes deals 2000 damage to your opponent.
- Finally, Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus , when it has two materials, you can detach one of them to shuffle a card on the field into the deck; if it has four materials, it is unaffected by all card effects; if it has six materials, it prevents the opponent from adding any more cards to the hand. You can use this effect when Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid can give you as many materials as you want.
Zoodiac / Heartlandraco
The main goal of this package is to bring a Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder with four to six materials. First, you can summon Zoodiac Chakanine with two or more monsters. You can then use him to summon Zoodiac Boarbow and attack directly thanks to his effect, he will have 0 ATK. You can then use Zoodiac Boarbow to summon Zoodiac Drident and destroy a face-up card on the field and finally use it for Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder 4 materials. These two steps are interchangeable. You can have six materials on Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder if you use three monsters to summon Zoodiac Chakanine and do not use the effect of Zoodiac Drident .
There is an alternative called Number 82: Heartlandraco . It can be used alone, unlike the Zoodiac. Its effect allows it to attack directly for 2000 ATK if you detach a material, other monsters will not be able to attack if using this effect. After attacking, you can have Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder with two materials. Number 82 can also help you end the match with its 2000 ATK.

Other Links
Link Spider (1x)
Link Spider can be created using The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine . The intention is to use it for other link plays since The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine is a monster with no effects. There's not much to say about it other than if you're using other Links, you should have it because it will be a great extender. All of the other Link monsters you will see later in this section will require monsters with multiple effects, so this is where this card will shine as you will often use it to summon them.
This card should be considered more heavily for your Extra Deck if you use Parallel eXceed , as it can prevent completely bricked situations if you draw a Parallel eXceed , The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine and no monsters any other.
This card should be considered more heavily for your Extra Deck if you use Parallel eXceed , as it can prevent completely bricked situations if you draw a Parallel eXceed , The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine and no monsters any other.
Borrelsword Dragon and Borreload Dragon (1x trong cả 2)
You should only play one of them, they will help you finish the match faster. They require a lot of resources, but have powerful combat effects. Both are good and it depends on your preference to use them.
- Borrelsword Dragon can attack twice and gain half the ATK of a monster it fights, you only need another monster to defend for the second attack. The second attack effect is Quick Effect so you can attack with your second monster and Borrelsword Dragon , then activate its effect and put the other monster in defense position and attack again.
- Borreload Dragon can target any monster on the field and cause them to lose 500 ATK and DEF, this is a quick effect so you can activate it when you want. What makes it really strong is that when it declares an attack on any of your opponent's monsters, you can control them until the end of your opponent's next turn. Borreload Dragon will not be able to attack again after using this effect because it occurs during the Damage Step. However, you can attack with a monster you control.
Knightmare Package
All four cards are very strong and having any of them is always nice. Link Spider will help summon any of these cards. They all require a card to discard to activate their effect, and they draw a card if they are co-linked.
In addition, summoning them will help you advance to Accesscode more easily.
Sample Engine and Decklist
Additionally, the addition of the Engines below will help increase the consistency of the deck.
Neos Engine
Neos helps you ensure your OTK turn with the effect of Rainbow Neos . And with Traptrix, the conditions to activate his effect are quite easy to activate, with sending traps on the field to the grave, mixing all opponent's spells/traps into the deck, with putting 1 Traptrix go to the grave, shuffle all the monsters they control, and with the final effect, you can shuffle all of your opponent's GY by simply sending the first 1 card of your deck to the grave.
Not to mention, Rainbow Neos has a pretty good protection effect with Neos Fusion and activating Fusion is also too easy for you with just Anaconda.
Artifact Engine
In some Traptrix builds in the past Ranking season, many builds used Artifact and achieved Platinum rank a lot. And that's just a trend, there's a deeper analysis. Let me briefly review a few cards.
- With Sanctum, bringing Artifacts onto the field and activating their effects is completely simple, not to mention that if it is destroyed, you can destroy 1 card on your opponent's field. However, the price to pay is losing Battle Phase, so choose the right time to activate it.
- Each Artifact that is specially summoned during the opponent's turn will have some very good special effects, such as Scythe preventing summoning, Lancea preventing banishment, Moralltach destroying 1 face-up card on the opponent's field, etc. .v
- Dagda increases your ability to summon more Artifacts when you can set Sanctum, when destroyed, summon 1 Artifact in the grave; making your deck more consistent than ever.
Deck mẫu Artifact + Neos
Main: 40 Extra: 15
(Made by wreckittim03 )
With both engines, Neos and Artifact, you can combine them together to add more spice (just remove a little trap :v). But because of this nature, the deck will reduce Traptrix's characteristic of using a lot of traps.
Dogmatika Engine + Deck mẫu
Main: 40 Extra: 15
Engine Dogmatika will help you a lot in your next turns. Details on how to use them, I will update in the Dogmatika guide later!
Amaze Attraction Horror House, Amazement Administrator Arlekino and Amaze Attraction Cyclo-Coaster (Amazement Engine + Deck mẫu)
Main: 44 Extra: 15
Engine Amazement has the best synergy with Traptrix thanks to Amazement Administrator Arlekino with regular traps and Traptrix Sera. Furthermore, Amazement's traps can be activated without any other cards, so they won't act as "tiles" if in your hand.
Final words
This is the end of this guide. Thank you for taking the time to read if you've scrolled down this far. Just know that even if the guides cover a large amount of Traptrix-related strategies, they still have others that we didn't cover. There is no best way to play Traptrix, so any strategy can be successful if you take the time to experiment. Remember that the most important thing is to have fun. If you have any questions, please ask, YGO Vietnam will answer you ;)
