Instructions for building and playing Shark Kragen
If you are a fan of Shark, then surely with the Fish line, you will not want to miss a great and powerful Shark Kragen set. To understand how to play this card line, below are the detailed instructions that YGO Vietnam has specifically for you.
Sections covered in this guide:
overview

Sharks, or Kragen Control, found primarily in Shark's Pride packs, are an archetype intended to spam the field with various Rank 4 Xyz monsters using the powers of their vicious fish-monster friends. The power of Buzzsaw Shark along with the help of other sea-themed monsters will help you terrorize your opponents by allowing you to easily approach bosses such as Number 4: Stealth Kragen , Toadally Awesome (from Bahamut Shark ) and Number F0: Utopic Draco Future . Even though the deck's power has been reduced due to Toadally Awesome's inclusion in the banlist, the deck can still consistently prevent your opponent from reaching their turn because of the sheer power that Water Xyz has.
Core Monsters
First, I'll cover the heart of Shark and why it's called Kragen control by some.
Number 4: Stealth Kragen (1x)
The entire central part of the deck. By simply overlaying 2 level 4 WATER Monsters, you will have access to this awesome boss that has 3 different effects:
- All face-up monsters on the field become WATER.
- Once per turn, during Main Phase (Instant Effect): You can destroy 1 WATER monster your opponent controls, and if you do, deal damage to your opponent equal to half its ATK on the field.
- If this Xyz card is destroyed: You can special summon "Kragen Spawn(s)" from your extra deck, up to the number of materials this card has, then you can attach up to 1 monster WATER from your grave for each of them as Xyz material.
Stealth Kragen Spawn (2x)
Stealth Kragen Spawn have the same effects as their premium versions. Both can kill WATER monsters quickly, and they also throw back Number 4: Stealth Kragen from the GY when destroyed. However, they miss out on the first effect of changing all monsters to WATER.
Number 4: Stealth Kragen will be thrown back at Spawns, as long as they are destroyed, regardless of who destroyed them. This means you can use cards like Torrential Tribute to destroy your opponent's monster deck, and float into 2 monsters back into Stealh Kragen from GY.
A floodgate, a breaker, and a massive defensive wall. If your opponent can't deal with this on their first turn, you've almost won the match. If you play Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links , this card is sometimes treated as an Abyss Dweller with Atlantean Heavy Infantry , however, this does not remove its grave effects.

Normal Summon is the best
Buzzsaw Shark (3x)
The main strength of the deck. Unique to Buzzsaw Shark is the one-card Xyz combo, as its effect allows you to target a face-up WATER monster you control to summon a fish monster of the same level, but with a different name from the deck your. However, using this effect locks you into an Xyz monster for the rest of your turn. Who doesn't like creating a powerful Xyz monster with just one card? It also has the niche effect that it can be treated as a level 3 or 5 monster when summoning an Xyz monster, this effect will rarely be relevant, unless you want to push the damage with Number 47: Nightmare Shark Or get another interrupt tool with Valiant Shark Lancer .
Beautunaful Princess (3x)
Essentially acts as 3 additional copies of Buzzsaw Shark in the deck, as when Tuna is normally summoned, it can banish itself to summon level 4 or lower Fish-type monsters from their deck us and of course the fish monster we are summoning will become our Buzzsaw boy :") or if you already have Buzzsaw in hand, Lantern Shark is also a good target to summon. Level and status Its status is actually quite big for us, because it's level 1, we can easily take Tuna out with One for One . And since it has 0 ATK, we can also use Piri Reis Map to search.
These WATER Extenders
Silent Angler (3x)
A simple level 4 WATER / Fish monster that can be special summoned from your hand when you control a WATER monster. However, using its special summon effect will prevent you from being able to special summon from your hand for the rest of the turn, so make sure to use other extenders before summoning Silent Angler .
Silent Sea Nettle (1-2x)
Has pretty much the same effects as Silent Angler , however, it has quite unpleasant downsides:
- Being an Aqua instead of a Fish, this will prevent us from summoning it from Buzzsaw Shark
- Lock yourself to a WATER monster for the rest of your turn
Tenyi Spirit - Shthana (2x)
The WATER monster can be special summoned from the hand, only if you control no monsters. But it's only locked to Silent Sea Nettle , because it's not a fish, which means we can't summon it from Buzzsaw Shark . With Shthana, we can use its effect to try and bait out any form of negative or disruptive effect our opponent may have since that effect is an Ignition effect. However, Shthana works best when appearing on your first turn, which can sometimes be a bad result on later turns, as most likely, you won't be able to use its effect to summon special episode. In a sense, it makes the Silent Sea Nettle better to use.
Xyz Remora (2x)
Probably the best extender the deck can have. Xyz Remora can be special summoned from your hand by detaching 2 materials from any Xyz monster you have on your field (Usually Number 4: Stealth Kragen or Drill Driver Vespenato ). When it is summoned this way, you can summon 2 fish-type monsters from your grave, but they have their effects negated, cannot attack, and can only be used on Xyz WATER monsters. This card can allow us to perform some combos and it can be the best extender but surprisingly, it is one of the less important monsters in the deck :((( Because it will be quite brick if you can't make Rank 4 on your first turn, so other extenders will actually bring more value to the deck.
Lantern Shark (1x)
When it is normal or special summoned, you can special summon a level 3, 4, or 5 WATER monster from your hand. You usually summon Buzzsaw Shark with it. So from a point of view, Lantern Shark is basically just a Silent Angler that doesn't lock your hand from special summons. However, this is one of the better targets to summon with Beautunaful Princess .
Buzzsaw Shark's goal
Note that just because this section talks about the cards you summon with Buzzsaw Shark , it doesn't mean these are the only cards you have to summon. In some situations, it's better to summon Xyz Remora or Silent Angler if you manage to start with White Mirror , and if you're using Xyz Rank 3/5, it's sometimes better to summon Lantern Shark .
Right-Hand Shark (1-2x)
This card has two very important effects
- While you control no monsters, you can special summon this card from the Graveyard, but banish it when it leaves the field. Note that it does not banish itself when you detach it as Xyz material, meaning that when this card goes to the grave, you always have Xyz material available in your grave, allowing you to easily return it when faced The player destroys your yard.
- An Xyz monster is summoned using only a WATER monster and this card cannot be destroyed by battle. This effect is very relevant because it protects your powerful Xyz monsters like Number 4: Stealth Kragen and Number 59: Crooked Cook . If summon uses it, your opponent is forced to use their removal effects on you if they want to attack you directly.
Lifeless Leaffish (1x)
Its initial effect when sending a fish from the deck to the grave is often irrelevant, as when you summon it, its effects are usually negated. The use of this card comes from its grave effect, which allows you to banish the card to shuffle 3 fish-type monsters from your grave into the deck, to draw a card. And it's also quite cheap to craft this card.
Magic and Traps
White Mirror (3x)
Monster Reborn is for fish monsters level 4 and below, which will also allow you to draw an additional monster with the same name as that revived monster. Great for setting up your deck's combos, as you can use it with Silent Angler or Xyz Remora on the first turn to extend the combo even further. (Assuming Silent Angler hasn't locked you out)
Also good for recovery as it can revive Buzzsaw Shark on your next turn for another one-card Xyz combo.
Also good for recovery as it can revive Buzzsaw Shark on your next turn for another one-card Xyz combo.
One for One (1x)
Many players like to have about 7 copies of Buzzsaw Shark in their deck. It's strange, but if you read the previous part, you will know that Tuna is considered a Buzzsaw. One for One can be used to summon Beautunaful Princess from your deck, which will allow you to use her effect to summon another fish of level 4 or lower from the deck. The removal cost can also be a benefit to you, as you can use White Mirror to summon the removed fish to then search for a monster with that same name.
Gozen Match (3x)
Just like how Rivalry of Warlords is a core in Zombie World decks, Gozen Match is a core in Shark/Kragen decks. If you are not aware of the interaction, while Gozen Match is face up and Number 4 is on the field, your opponent can only have 1 monster on the field, unless they are also playing a WATER attribute deck, such as Mermails or Marincess. For most decks, we usually just end their turn when they use a normal summon as long as we have a face-up Gozen. However, it will be quite brick when going later if you can't clear your opponent's monsters.
Techs
Astral Kuriboh (1x)
Can be used as an additional extender. Although when you use it, you are limited to only being able to Xyz summon the "Number" Xyz monster as long as it is on the field. The most notable Xyz Number monsters are Number 101: Silent Honor ARK , Number 59: Crooked Cook , and Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir . Also technically Number 4: Stealth Kragen , however Astral Kuriboh is a fiend so you won't be able to Xyz with it.
Tin Goldfish (1-2x)
Another extender the deck can use. It essentially acts as an additional copy of Lantern Shark , however, it is not a fish so you cannot summon it from Beautunaful Princess or Buzzsaw Shark . The best combo with this card is probably normal summon to special summon Lantern Shark from hand, then special summon Buzzsaw Shark , which will then get you 2 Rank 4 Xyz monsters.
Barrier Statue of the Torrent (1x)
Think of it as a Gozen Match with Kragen's first effect. Normal summoning the Barrier Statue is a viable way to prevent your opponent from taking turns on their first main phases since most likely, they will have to use their battle phase just to escape the statue. Since it is a level 4 monster, it can also be used to overlay our Xyz.
Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade, Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One and Number C101: Silent Honor DARK (Rank-Up-Magic - The 7th One)
A large hand can summon the powerful "Number C" monster. I personally have never played this card, as it is a dead card if going first and better to draw any other card if going second. But some have seen success with it, summoning monsters like Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade for a free monster with a negative effect on the field.
Number 71: Rebarian Shark and Valiant Shark Lancer (Rank 3/5)
You can Xyz Summon both by using Buzzsaw Shark and Lantern Shark on the field.
- Number 71: Rebarian Shark is usually just another target for Bahamut Shark then overlays into Full Armored Black Ray Lancer . Although its effect may be somewhat related to recycling Number 4: Stealth Kragen and other Number Xyz monsters.
- Valiant Shark Lancer has a neat effect that can Quick Effect destroy a monster your opponent controls, as long as you have another WATER XYZ monster on the field. However, if you do not have a WATER xyz monster, it does not turn into a quick effect. However, it is a good Xyz monster to summon if you already have Stealth Kragen on the field. The second effect is to put ANY magic from your deck on top of the deck, which is also quite good, as you can essentially "Destiny Draw" the perfect magic card for the next turn.
Number 59: Crooked Cook (1x)
Crooked Cook has immunity to everything as long as you don't control other cards. Despite this, it can still be sacrificed to a Kaiju, and can still be destroyed in combat, and it can still be linked using the Underworld Goddess of the Closed World . However, we can overcome Crooked Cook's problem of being "destroyed in combat" if we use Right-Hand Shark or Astral Kuriboh as materials, as both have the effect of creating Xyz monsters Summoned using either material becomes indestructible in combat. So, as long as your opponent doesn't have Kaiju, Underworld Goddess, or armor-piercing damage, you should be able to stall for around 60+ turns with just this beast.
If you're brave, you can also put 5 exodia in your deck as a win condition instead of Crooked Cook which will stall you forever.
Xyz Ngân sách khác
Decks can be quite expensive, so here are some other viable cheap Xyz monsters you can play to fill out the Extra Deck.
- Number 37: Hope Woven Dragon Spider Shark , another card you may only know from Duel Links. Number 37 has the effect of reducing the ATK of all monsters your opponent controls by 1000 when any of your monsters declares an attack. It also has a destroy effect when summoning any other monster from your grave.
- Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk can banish up to 2 cards from your opponent's grave. Can also attach itself to any of your Xyz monsters to increase their ATK to 1200.
- Number 70: Malevolent Sin . BACK TO DUEL LINKS! Malevolent Sin can be used as a finishing card, which can target and banish a monster your opponent controls until the next standby phase. Basically, a budget version of Number 101: Silent Honor ARK .
- Number 82: Heartlandraco can be used instead of Zoodiac Engine if you want to save space to create Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder more effectively.
- Number 50: Blackship of Corn , it's hard to find a situation where this card's effect is relevant. But when it does, it works quite well, as well as sending a monster to the GY without triggering their destruction effects quite well. 1000 burn damage can also be useful.
Bất kỳ Rank 4 ổn định nào khác
Since the archetype does not lock you into WATER (unless you use Silent Sea Nettle ), you are free to use any stable Rank 4 Xyz monsters you may have access to, whether they are cards like Tornado Dragon or Number 70: Malevolent Sin . Notable mentions include:
- Time Thief Redoer . During each standby phase, it can steal the top card of your opponent's deck and attach it to itself as material. It has an effect that quickly discards up to 3 materials and activates an effect based on what it discards, it shuffles a face-up card on the field for traps, draws a card for spells, and self-expelled until end phase ends.
- Number 101: Silent Honor ARK . Think of it as a better Number 70. You can separate the 2 materials to equip a specially summoned monster in the attack position that your opponent controls as an overlay material, which can help us increase the lethality against the enemy. cards like Thunder Dragon Colossus .
- Tornado Dragon is a Mystical Space Typhoon . Related to the Imperial Order
- Engine Utopia. Number 39: Utopia Double can give us another win condition if the opponent leaves a monster with 2000 ATK or less in attack position, and Number S39: Utopia the Lightning can give us a way to defeat other problematic beasts, such as the Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax .
- Evilswarm Exciton Knight . Think of it as a Mini Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder . The only downside to this card is that its effect is to make your opponent unable to deal damage for the rest of the turn if its effect is used.
Salamangreat Almiraj (1x)
A very suitable card that can be used to trigger combos. If we start with Silent Angler and White Mirror , we can normal summon Angler, link it out to Almiraj, then use White Mirror to revive Angler and then add another Angler, special summon Angler there, then overlay Number 4: Stealth Kragen . And with Salamangreat Almiraj , you can make it indestructible in one turn. Won't come up often, but still a pretty neat tech choice.
Staple
PSY-Framelord Omega, PSY-Frame Driver and PSY-Framegear Gamma (Đề xuất khác)
A handtrap combo can help you ensure that Tenyi Spirit - Shthana and Beautunaful Princess will be able to use their effects. Can also be used during your opponent's turn to block their turn. I personally don't recommend it though, as including PSY-Framegear Gamma in the banlist will cause some consistency issues, especially since it won't work if you control a monster on the field .
Super Polymerization (2x)
Can be used to summon Mudragon of the Swamp . Because of Number 4's effect, you can effectively use this card because Mudragon of the Swamp requires 2 monsters of the same attribute, but different types. And because Stealth Kragen converts all attributes to WATER, Mudragon is easier to summon with Super Poly using your opponent's monsters.
Can also be used to summon Starving Venom Fusion Dragon against DARK-elemental decks, however, another deck slot should not be wasted.
Can also be used to summon Starving Venom Fusion Dragon against DARK-elemental decks, however, another deck slot should not be wasted.
Called by the Grave (2x)
Since the deck's strength depends on Buzzsaw Shark and Beautunaful Princess , Called by the Grave will help you ensure that they will be able to overcome with their effects. Can protect both from Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Effect Veiler . Can also be used as a fake DD Crow, which can banish core monsters like Eldlich the Golden Lord and other cards.
Pot of Desires and Pot of Avarice (Desires 3x, Avarice 1x)
The pots that "draw 2 cards" are the most preferred choice. When we play our cores as 3 copies in the deck, we can safely use Pot of Desires ' effect without having to worry about banishing our cores. However, Pot of Prosperity is also a valid choice, this is one of those decks that needs more deck resources, so Prosperity is a bit risky.
When we use a lot of resources, Pot of Avarice can also be a good choice for the deck, allowing us to recycle Xyz monsters and allowing to draw 2 more cards.

Forbidden Droplet and Forbidden Chalice (Vô hiệu hóa quái thú)
Useful because their simple effect is to only destroy one monster. Forbidden Droplet is more popular because it halves ATK, can have spell speed 4 (spell speed to chain link) and can kill multiple monsters at once. The fold cost is, again, useful when you start with White Mirror .
Forbidden Chalice is a neat budget option when you can't craft other staples. With an instant spell, you can negate the effects of ANY monster on the field, while also increasing their ATK by 400. The 400 ATK boost can also be suitable for being lethal or defeating large threats.

Foolish Burial (1x)
Can act as another starter by sending Right-Hand Shark to the grave. Can use the grave effect of summoning itself to easily Rank 4. If you have White Mirror in hand, you can send any fish you want to summon it with White Mirror , while also receiving a another monster of the same name from the deck.
Fury of Kairyu-Shin and Torrential Tribute (Sức mạnh của Kairyu-shin)
If you want to be a bit more disruptive, we can safely play Torrential Tribute because Number 4: Stealth Kragen can float 2 more monsters, and from there can float back there again. Fury of Kairyu-Shin is also a viable card to play, can search for Torrential Tribute , and also has a grave effect to protect our WATER monster from destructive effects.
If you set Torrential Tribute , make sure the only monster you have is Number 4: Stealth Kragen because you will not lose pressure against your opponent if it is destroyed by TT, unless you have Fury of Kairyu- Shin in the grave, in that case, ignore what I said.

Imperial Order (1x)
While it instantly extinguishes White Mirror and our other magics, being able to prevent our opponents from using THEIR magics is too good to pass up. Imperial Order 's disadvantages don't matter that much to us, as protecting our Gozen Match and shutting down decks like Sky Strikers and Pendulums is a worthy trade-off.
Some other disruptive tools
Solemn Judgment and Solemn Strike (Solemn)
50% LP as cost isn't a problem, as negating any card with Solemn Judgment is a pretty big deal, especially since it can help us avoid Lightning Storm or Twin Twisters . Similar to Solemn Strike , any summoning effect or special monster can be negated for just 1500 LP.
Compulsory Evacuation Device (3x)
Another great budget-friendly option if you don't have CP for other staples. Having the option to return your opponent's monster is a powerful effect on some monsters, such as Thunder Dragon Colossus and Cyber ββDragon Nova , making it possible to escape them without being destroyed.
Staple followed
Loại bỏ backrow
The deck can be easily broken against most traps, such as Torrential Tribute which can stop all of our plays after using up the extender. So there is definitely a need for backrow removal cards, especially with the amount of backrow the current meta has, with Eldlich running rampant in Rank and Phantom Knights having a searchable Phantom Knights' Fog Blade .
Of course these aren't just follow-up cards, as some of these cards can be useful in disrupting opponents if they're playing a deck that uses environmental magic and associated magic/traps. custom. Such as the Cosmic Cyclone chain with Dragon Ravine .

Core Extra Deck
Bahamut Shark (2x)
An Xyz monster that we can easily create since all of our monsters are WATER. Bahamut Shark is usually the main combo starter in most plays of the deck, as it is essentially a way to spam the field with Rank 3 or lower Xyz monsters, such as: Toadally Awesome , Black Ray Lancer, Number 47 .
Toadally Awesome (1x)
Sadly, our Toads are limited to the Master Duel banlist, which means we can't use a UFD ending field with 3 toads as is common in the TCG. Toadally Awesome can negate the activation of anything your opponent does, by sending a WATER monster from the hand or field to the graveyard and destroying that card! You'll almost always send Toad himself to do so, though. The great part is, when you negate an effect that activates on the field, you can place the negated and destroyed card on your field.
Limited Toads can be pretty bad, but you can actually use them multiple times in the game, because when they are sent to the grave, you can add WATER monsters from the grave to your hand. You can use the effect to add Buzzsaw Shark back, or you use it on Toad to return it to the extra deck, which will allow us to summon it back to Bahamut Shark again.

Full Armored Black Ray Lancer and Number 47: Nightmare Shark (Black Ray Lancer Package)
Due to the limitations of Toadally Awesome in the banlist, we will have to try a lot when playing these two cards that you probably only know from Duel Links. Although not as good as Toad, Full Armored Black Ray Lancer can give us a little more protection on the field, and it also has quite suitable effects such as being able to destroy magic / traps on the field when killed monsters in battle. This can happen in a number of situations, such as destroying a face-up Phantom Knights' Fog Blade that currently disables a monster you can control.
Number 47: Nightmare Shark can also be quite active at times. It is the monster that you summon from Bahamut to overlay it into Full Armored Black Ray Lancer . But you can actually also overlay Buzzsaw Shark and Lantern Shark to Xyz it normally, then can use its effect to make one of our WATER monsters attack directly, which can can help us finish some rounds quickly.

But you can actually also overlay Buzzsaw Shark and Lantern Shark to Xyz it normally, then can use its effect to make one of our WATER monsters attack directly, which can can help us finish some rounds quickly.
Abyss Dweller (1x)
A generic Rank 4 Xyz monster, which can easily stop some decks. Many people know its effect of detaching 1 material to negate all activated effects in the grave for a turn, which can temporarily close decks like Drytrons, Phantom Knights and Eldlich. While slowing down other decks like Tri-Brigade and Virtual World. Unbeknownst to most though, its first effect is to increase the ATK of all WATER monsters you control by 500, as long as all materials used were initially WATER, which we can use it to help get over those really big lumps of meat.
Drill Driver Vespenato (1x)
Allows you to use Xyz Remora more effectively. Overlaying Bahamut Shark onto Vespenato after using its effect to summon Toad or Black Ray Lancer will cause it to have 2 Xyz materials, which we can then discard to special summon Xyz Remora and special summon 2 more fish monsters from the grave to then enter another XYZ monster. You also get a meatball with 2500 ATK that can deal piercing damage. Always remember , you cannot use Vespenato as a material for Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder when you overlay it. So don't think you can attack with Kragen, overlay Vespenato and create Zeus, it won't work.
Number F0: Utopic Draco Future and Number F0: Utopic Future (Utopic Draco Future và đàn con của nó)
The deck is suited to swarming the field with Rank 4 Xyz monsters, so we easily have access to UFD. Number F0: Utopic Draco Future has an effect that cannot be destroyed by battle or with card effects, and has the effect of splitting a material to negate any monster effects your opponent activates, and if negated monster is on the field, you can gain control of it!
Number F0: Utopic Future has the effect of controlling the opponent's monster it fights until the end of the battle phase, which can appear in some situations. The main way for you to summon these 2 is usually to use 2 Bahamuts that have their effects activated on the field, turning those 2 useless bodies into monster destruction/control effects. Note that you cannot summon F0 with a Number monster like Number 4: Stealth Kragen or Number 59: Crooked Cook
Zoodiac Chakanine, Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder and Zoodiac Boarbow ( Zeusdiacs)
What is your favorite 3rd Zeus material? The Beast Zoodiac If you do n't know, Zoodiac With Boarbow, we can attack directly with 0 damage, but in Main Phase 2, we can create Zeus with 4 Materials! Of course, we don't have to use Zoodiac Xyz to spawn Zeus, we can also just attack with any of our Xyz monsters to spawn it. But with Zoodiac Engine, we can guarantee ourselves that we will have more than 1 Zeus activation for the match.
The goal of Instant Fusion
Rare Fish (1x)
A level 4 vanilla Fish Fusion monster. It's ironic that it's the best Instant Fusion target for the deck, since it's a Fish Type that allows us to reuse it for the effect of White Mirror or Xyz Remora . However, you can also recycle it with cards like Lifeless Leaffish or Silent Sea Nettle , which will be irrelevant since Ready Fusion is not currently in the Master Duel card pool.
Mudragon of the Swamp (1x)
A Wyrm monster - level 4 WATER. Summoning this card when going second can protect us from targeting effects our opponent may have, such as Compulsory Evacuation Device , Effect Veiler , or Infinite Impermanence . It can also be a good target for Super Polymerization , as Stealth Kragen changes the opponent's monster attributes, meaning we can easily use Super Poly to create Mudragon when we make Fusion requests Its easier. Oh, and it's also level 4, which means we can use it as an overlay material for our Xyz monster.
Millennium-Eyes Restrict (1x)
Although not strictly recommended, you can still include Millennium-Eyes Restrict in your extra deck if you want a way to punish your opponent when they activate a monster effect, whether in a handtrap or on the field, while you do so. Show your turn. However, the extra deck space is limited enough, so play it at your own risk.
Some sample Decklists

Did you know that most of the deck's combos are really just this combo, but you'll get more value if you have an extender in your hand. For example, starting with Silent Angler will allow you to use additional level 4 fish on the field to overlay Number 4: Stealth Kragen or Abyss Dweller .
REMEMBER TO SUMMON DRILL DRIVER VESPENATO IN THE EXTRA MONSTER AREA BECAUSE YOU NEED SPACE TO SUMMON WITH REMORA

- Bahamut Shark 's effect activates, detaching Silent Angler , special summoning Toadally Awesome from the extra deck. Unless you were normally summoned with Beautunaful Princess , Toadally Awesome will be your 5th summon, giving you protection from Nibiru, the Primal Being once again.
- Activate White Mirror , special summon Silent Angler from the grave and add another card from the deck to the hand.
- Overlay Silent Angler and Buzzsaw Shark , creating another Bahamut Shark .
- Bahamut Shark again, special summon Number 47: Nightmare Shark / Number 71: Rebarian Shark which we then overlay into Lancer.
- Use 2 Bahamut on the field, overlay Number F0: Utopic Future to Number F0: Utopic Draco Future , place it in the Extra Monster Zone
- Xyz Remora effect, separates 2 materials from Number F0: Utopic Draco Future .
- Special Summon Xyz Remora , revive 2 other fish from the grave.
- Use 2 other fish, Overlay into Abyss Dweller
- You should have Silent Angler in hand, special summon it.
- Use the newly summoned Silent Angler , overlaying Number 4: Stealth Kragen .
With this 4-card combo, you will have Number F0: Utopic Draco Future , Toadally Awesome , Full Armored Black Ray Lancer , Number 4: Stealth Kragen , and 1 Abyss Dweller on the field. You will have 2 negates, 1 instant destruction effect and 1 grave blocker.
Final thoughts
Shark, Kragen control, Fish, Water Xyz, whatever you might call it, is a consistent deck that can easily gain control of the field with its simple Xyz combos. Right now, I'd say its power level is somewhere in the Rogue rating. Being able to power through several decks with just Stealth Kragen is certainly a worthy achievement, although the core issue the deck currently faces is vulnerability to negative effects and destroy, as a Forbidden Chalice can cause you to lose your turn on the spot. Which, I guess can be said for a lot of other decks. The deck's power will definitely increase as we start more extenders, but if every game we just normal summon Buzzsaw Shark and nothing else, then the deck's power will drop drastically.
