Instructions for playing and building Synchrons
Perhaps you are no stranger to Fudo Yusei and his undefeated winning streak in the 5ds anime, right? Among you, there will also be a few people like me, who really want to use his deck to have an unbeaten winning streak that lasts continuously through rank seasons, right? Therefore, today YGO Vietnam brings you instructions on one of the variations of Yusei's deck - Synchrons. Hopefully this article will help you in building the deck you want most!
Sections covered in this guide:
overview
Synchrons are a line of archetypes primarily found in Stardust Ties , Scrap Iron Soldiers , and Synchro of Unity . The deck actually includes all three main archetypes, Stardust, Junk, and Synchrons, along with many other generic Synchros. On turn 1, the deck can create multiple negations and set up a field clearing during the opponent's turn, however, the deck is also locked into Synchro summoning by multiple cards and one of the deck's core cards. card, Junk Speeder .
Junk Speeder (Core)
Junk Speeder is the core of this deck and is the main reason why the deck can pump out so much Synchro in one turn. It is a level 5 Synchro monster, it can Special Summon as many Synchron tuners from our deck to the field of varying levels, thus allowing us to escalate Synchro as well as provide them We have Tuners for extenders in many situations. Its limitation, as mentioned before, is that it locks you into Synchro summoning before and after being Synchro summoned.
Core Main Deck
Caligo Claw Crow, Doppelwarrior and Junk Converter (Mục tiêu của Junk Synchron)
These are the main level 2 non-tuner monsters and are targets for special summoning with Junk Synchron . They also act as extenders to extend our combos. Here are the strengths they provide us.
- Junk Converter acts as a level 2 air tuner as well as a searcher for Junk Synchron . This is a good target to special summon with Junk Synchron as its effect can bring back a tuner from the grave if it is sent to the grave as Synchro material, this also allows us to block chain helping Junk Speeder when we need to make sure its effect works at all costs.
- Doppelwarrior is a level 2 non-tuner, it special summons two level 1 doppel tokens to the field if used as Synchro materials. It is the main target to be special summoned by Junk Synchron 's effect because creating Junk Speeder with it allows you to have three Synchron tuners based on two level 1 materials. Its effect also block chains for Junk Speeder and is often more useful than Junk Converter 's effect to activate.
- Caligo Claw Crow is considered the worst of the three, however, its effect is also extremely useful when your Junk Synchron is disabled. Once per turn, it can special summon itself if you control a DARK monster, usually Junk Synchron . The drawback is that it cannot block chain for Junk Speeder and it does not special summon anything after being used as a Synchro material (cannot be used as an extender).
All 3 should be played 2-3 cards to be good.
Fleur Synchron, Cyberse Synchron and Jet Synchron (Mục tiêu của Junk Speeder)
- Jet Synchron is a prime target for special summoning as a level 1 tuner from Junk Speeder 's effect and is arguably the best Synchron monster we currently have. It has two effects, the first is when it is used as Synchro material, you can add 1 "Junk" monster from your deck to your hand. This can search for Junk Converter or Junk Servant if you use them, which is useful because both can be special summoned to extend your combo (With Junk Converter , you can special summon it using the effect of Fleur Synchron ). Its second effect allows it to special summon itself by discarding a card from its hand, which it then banishes when it leaves the field. This is useful for trying to extend your combo and also trigger Doppelwarrior . You can only use one of these effects once per turn, so you shouldn't always activate its first effect. Therefore, you usually only want to use one or two copies of this card and should instead use a Cyberse Synchron
- Cyberse Synchron is another level 1 tuner that you can special summon if you already have Jet Synchron in your grave. Its effect allows you to double the level of a level 4 or lower monster. In GY, you can banish this card to prevent the destruction of a monster in the Extra Monster zone. It can also be used to summon Synchro Junk Speeder by doubling the level of the level 2 tuner on the field.
- Fleur Synchron is a level 2 tuner that can special summon a level 2 or lower monster from your hand if it is used as a Synchro material. This effect is not once per turn. It helps prolong combos, but you'll rarely want to initiate or Normal summon with it.
Foolish Burial (1x)
Foolish Burial sends a card to the grave from the deck. Popular targets for this are Junk Converter , Doppelwarrior , Jet Synchron and Cyberse Synchron . You may not use it in your deck as it can be quite redundant at times, however, it does help ensure the consistency of the deck.
Some other great options
Steam Synchron, Quickdraw Synchron and Satellite Synchron (Tất cả đều nên chơi từ 0-1x)
These are other Synchron tuners we can use, although they are not as good as the previous tuners.
- Satellite Synchron is another lvl 2 tuner, however, Fleur Synchron is better for special summoning from Junk Speeder if you can. Its effect on special summons can be useful at times, but it comes up against Doppelwarrior 's special summons since you can only special summon one of them at a time. It can also become level 4 if there are Synchro monsters with "Warrior", "Synchron" or "Stardust" in their name on the field or your GY, which can be done consistently using Stardust Charge Warrior . The main reason you'll want to use Satellite Synchron is so you have more objectives with Allure of Darkness .
- Quickdraw Synchron is a level 5 tuner, however, it can only be used as a Synchro material for a Synchro monster that lists a Synchron tuner as a material. Quickdraw Synchron is only used to easily craft Ultimaya Tzolkin with Junk Speeder , a card that can be quite a cheat, getting Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon . Personally, I don't recommend Quickdraw Synchron and Ultimaya Tzolkin because you can easily create Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon with your main Synchron tuner.
- Steam Synchron is the only main deck Synchron tuner with a quick effect to summon Synchro during your opponent's Main Phase. It is mainly used to easily Synchro Summon Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity during your opponent's turn.
Quillbolt Hedgehog and Synchron Carrier (0-1x)
There are some other level 2 ingredients you can use, although they aren't as good as the ingredients listed previously.
- Synchron Carrier is one of the few Synchron monsters that is not a tuner. You can search this card with Junk Converter if you already have Junk Synchron in your hand. You can Normal Summon this card as well as an unusual Synchron tuner, Junk Synchron, to create a Junk Speeder . When a "Synchron" monster is sent to the GY as Synchro material for a Warrior or a Machine-type Synchro monster, you can special summon a level 2 non-tuner Synchro Token.
- Quillbolt Hedgehog can be special summoned if you control a tuner. This is useful if Junk Synchron 's effect is disabled as you can special summon it from the grave to create Junk Speeder .
Boost Warrior and Jester Confit (Các lvl 1)
Jester Confit and Boost Warrior are level 1 no-tuners that can be special summoned from the hand. They can be useful in case you don't have access to Doppelwarrior and its tokens. Jester Confit is generally considered better because it has the DARK attribute so it can be added by Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon .
Recommended ratio: 0-1x
Recommended ratio: 0-1x
Engine
Fire Ant Ascator, Ascator and Dawnwalker (Ascator Engine)
Ascator, Dawnwalker allows you to instantly create a level 8 Synchro monster, usually Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon . It also discards a card as a cost that can add fuel to your Graveyard with the goal of Junk Synchron . Generally, this is how you want to start your turn, and in my opinion, this is the best engine overall out of the three engines I'll be covering. This engine is also quite brick with Fire Ant Ascator .
Recommended ratio: 3 Ascator, Dawnwalker , 1 Fire Ant Ascator
Recommended ratio: 3 Ascator, Dawnwalker , 1 Fire Ant Ascator
Assault Mode
Another Engine you can run, this one allows you to create Synchro monsters from level 6 to 9, however, it comes with the limitation of being quite bricked. Another problem is that Psi-Reflector also conflicts quite a bit with Junk Synchron because you may be forced to Normal summon it if you don't draw Junk Synchron or Emergency Teleport . The basic combo for this engine is:
Recommended ratio: 2 Emergency Teleport , 2-3 Psi-Reflector, 1 Assault Beast , 1 Assault Mode Activate
- Activate Emergency Teleport .
- Special Summon Psi-Reflector .
- Activate Psi-Reflector 's effect to add Assault Beast to your hand.
- Activate Assault Beast 's effect to send it to the GY and add Assault Mode Activate to your hand.
- From here, you can spawn your Synchro from level 6 to 9, although generally you will Synchro out Chaos Ruler, the level 8 Chaotic Magical Dragon . Activate the effect of Psi-Reflector , revealing Assault Mode Activate in hand to special summon Assault Beast from GY as well as increase its level from 1 to 4 (So if you want to create a level 8 Synchro monster, you will increase its level to 3).
- Synchro out your monsters.
Recommended ratio: 2 Emergency Teleport , 2-3 Psi-Reflector, 1 Assault Beast , 1 Assault Mode Activate
Rose Token, Black Garden and Garden Rose Maiden (Garden Engine)
The smallest Engine among the three Engines I introduced. Garden Rose Maiden, when Special Summoned, adds Black Garden from the deck or GY to your hand. It also has another effect where you can banish Garden Rose Maiden from the GY to Special Summon a Synchro Dragon monster in your GY. This card can be used without Black Garden . Black Garden will Special Summon an 800 ATK token to the opposite side of the field whenever the summoned monster is face-up, it can then target a monster in the Graveyard with the same ATK as the ending ATK combination of all Plant-type monsters on the field. it can then Special Summon that Monster from the Graveyard. The Summoned Monster's ATK is also permanently halved while Black Garden is on the field. Its target is Garden Rose Maiden , Doppelwarrior , TG Hyper Librarian or Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss . This card can potentially be used to swarm the opponent's field and lock them down although that can easily backfire with the amount of common Links available in the game.
Recommended ratio: 1 Garden Rose Maiden , 1 Garden Black
Recommended ratio: 1 Garden Rose Maiden , 1 Garden Black
Extra Deck
Core Card
Celestial Double Star Shaman (1x)
Celestial Double Star Shaman is a level 2 tuner that, when Synchro Summoned, special summons up to 4 level 2 non-tuner monsters but their effects are negated. Effects triggered by being used as Synchro Materials can still be triggered as the effects of Doppelwarrior . This should be one of your priorities in your combos to restore your level 2 non-tuners and extend your combos even further. You usually only want to special summon 2 non-tuners because any card can swarm your field.
Martial Metal Marcher (1x)
Martial Metal Marcher is a level 3 tuner that when Synchro Summoned can special summon a tuner from the grave but its effects will be negated. Effects triggered by being used as Synchro Materials can still be triggered, such as the effect of Fleur Synchron . It helps when climbing Synchro as well as extending combos, however, it has the effect of causing Synchro monsters using this card as Synchro material to become a tuner, which can mess up combos.
Accel Synchron (1x)
Accel Synchron is our main method of summoning Synchro during our opponent's turn. It has the additional effect that it can increase or decrease its level according to the level of the "Synchron" tuner it sends to your grave with Jet Synchron . It can also be used to create a Junk Speeder if you don't have any "Syncron" tuners.
Final stage
Herald of the Arc Light (1x)
Herald of the Arc Light may seem like a worse version of Herald of Ultimateness , however, it's actually very useful. As a level 4, it is easy to create, but it is also an Omni-Negate when sacrificing itself as a cost. Another advantage is that it can prevent some handtraps like Effect Veiler and Droll & Lock Bird . It also prevents Forbidden Droplet or hinders it a bit since they can't send monsters to the grave from the hand and instead have to waste a normal summon to send the monster to the grave.
F.A. Dawn Dragster (1x)
FA Dawn Dragster is a level 7 synchro monster that can negate Magic/Trap cards once per turn by reducing its level by 2. It can be used in conjunction with Accel Synchron to Summon Synchro Satellite Warrior during your opponent's turn after you negate a Spell or Trap with it.
Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon (1x)
Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is a level 8 synchro monster that must use a non-tuned synchro monster as a Synchro Material. This is our Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax because this card gains the ATK of the level 5 or higher monster it fights. It can also negate monster effects once per turn.
Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon and Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss (Package 01)
These 2 cards will come in 1 package together:
- Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon is a level 8 synchro monster that is usually how you start your turn. When this card is synchro summoned, you can flip and view the top 5 cards of your deck and add 1 LIGHT/DARK monster, then send the rest to the graveyard. This effect is great because it can send your level 2 non-tuners or Jet Synchron / Cyberse Synchron to the grave, it can add extenders to your hand like Doppelwarrior , Caligo Claw Crow or Jester Confit , it can also add your handtrap such as Effect Veiler or Nibiru, Primal Being and finally it can add Junk Synchron to your hand. It can also special summon itself from the GY by banishing one LIGHT and one DARK. This sets up for a follow-up kill and can also be used as material for Satellite Warrior .
- Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss is a level 9 synchro monster that negates the effects of a face-up card on the field for the rest of the turn. This is pretty awesome because it can negate monster, Spell & Trap effects. Its limitation is that you need to use the non-tuner DARK Dragon synchro monster as the Synchro Material, but luckily we have the Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon . The second effect allows it to special summon a tuner from GY if it deals damage in combat, which can allow you to set up some negation during Main Phase 2.
PSY-Framelord Omega and Virtual World Kyubi - Shenshen (Package 2)
Both of these cards are ways to delay banishing your monsters to set up for your next turn. Some targets for postponed banishment are Jet Synchron , Garden Rose Maiden and Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon .
- PSY-Framelord Omega is a level 8 synchro monster that can delay banishing monsters during your opponent's Standby Phase. Its second effect allows it to banish itself and a random card from your opponent's hand, after which you can return that card and PSY-Framelord Omega during the next Standby Phase. Not only does this remove a card to worry about, it also removes face up and allows you to take a look at the deck you'll be facing on turn 1.
- Virtual World Kyubi - Shenshen is a level 9 synchro monster that comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. However, this card can delay banishing a monster when a monster you control declares an attack, which means you cannot use this effect on turn 1. It also acts as a Macro Cosmos as it banishes all monsters sent from the field to the Graveyard. However, it can also evict your cards, so be careful. It can also special summon itself from the grave except the turn it is sent to the grave.
Package Boss
The bosses of the deck. Each card is level 12, you should only use one of these cards or even none at all because they take up a lot of resources to summon.
- Cosmic Blazar Dragon is my personal favorite level 12 and requires one Synchro tuner monster and two non-tuner Synchro monsters as Synchro materials. While it may not be the most efficient use of resources, it is an Omni-Negate with 4000 ATK/DEF. It can negate the activation of a card or effect, the summoning of a monster, a monster attack, as well as the end of the Battle Phase.
- Shooting Quasar Dragon is another level 12, requiring one Synchro tuner and two non-tuner Synchro as Synchro Materials. It has similar effects to Cosmic Blazar Drago n, however, it loses in terms of the ability to negate attacks and summoning it is quite beneficial since its ATK is the amount of non-tuner Synchro used as a resource. materials (at least 2). This card can also float into Shooting Star Dragon , but it cannot be special summoned when it banishes itself because it is not synchro summoned properly, so you can cast Shooting Quasar Dragon without it. This card is more aggressive than Cosmic Blazar Drago because it can attack multiple times and it doesn't banish itself to negate the effect, so it can easily finish off the opponent on the second turn.
- Red Supernova Dragon is level 12 and requires 3 tuners as well as 1 non-tuner synchro monster. This can be easily done with just Junk Speeder by using Cyberse Synchron 's effect to raise it to level 2. Only through this, it will have 6000 ATK and cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects . It also has the effect of banishing itself along with the entire field in response to the monster's effect, after which it can Special Summon itself during the next End Phase. The problem with this card is that we don't use cards like Red Reign that are needed to protect it.
- Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity is a level 12 Synchro that prevents your opponent from activating cards and causing effects when it is Synchro Summoned. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect, so this can end their turn if they don't have Forbidden Droplet to counter it. You mainly summon it with Steam Synchron or Accel Synchron to Synchro summon it during your opponent's turn. This card can also miss time due to the effects of your own TG Hyper Librarian .
Other Extra Deck options
Old Entity Hastorr (1x)
Old Entity Hastor r is a level 4 tuner that is a good budget option in case you can't craft Herald of the Arc Light. This card allows you to equip a face-up monster your opponent controls and negate its effects and lock it from attacking. Then, when this card leaves the field while equipped to your opponent's Monster, you can control that monster.
Flower Cardian Boardefly and Flower Cardian Moonflowerviewing (Package Flower Cardian)
Flower Cardian Boardefly is a level 6 Synchro that can be created by Flower Cardian Moonflowerviewing and any 2 non-tuners. This can usually be done by Synchro Summon Celestial Double Star Shaman , followed by Special Summon Doppelwarrior and another level 2 non-tuner. You can then Synchro out Flower Cardian Moonflowerviewing and then Synchro Summon F lower Cardian Boardefly with 2 doppel tokens. Flower Cardian Boardefly is a better Abyss Dweller because it locks your opponent from effects activated in the grave and Special Summon from the grave until your opponent's next turn by banishing a "Flower Cardian" monster from your grave is Flower Cardinal Moonflowerviewing . This card is often better placed in the side deck than the main deck.
Mare Mare, Yazi and Evil of the Yang Zing (Yang Zing Package)
Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing is a level 7 synchro monster that can destroy itself and a card your opponent controls and when it is destroyed and sent to the grave, it can special summon Mare Mare from the deck of cards. This is quite good because Yazi cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects, so this can force your opponent to respond or destroy another negation or floodgate. This card can also destroy a Nibiru, the Primal Being to activate its effect. Mare Mare is a level 7 tuner that can reduce its level by 1 to Special Summon a level 1 non-tuner token 3 times per turn. This allows you to create an Accel Synchron to Synchro escalate or even create a Junk Speeder if you haven't Synchro it yet. This card is more geared towards going second.
Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys (1x)
Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys is a level 9 Synchro monster, allowing you to draw cards depending on the number of non-tuners used for its Synchro. It also gains 500 ATK/DEF for each card in your hand, which can make it a big bludgeon from all the draws you get using TG Hyper Librarian . It can also destroy a card on the field by discarding 2 cards from your hand, this is a quick effect so you can cast it during your opponent's turn.
Stardust Warrior (1x)
Stardust Warrior is a level 10 Synchro monster that can be used as a slightly more economical negation. It can sacrifice itself to negate the monster's Special Summon and destroy it. Then, if this effect is not negated, you can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard during the End Phase. If this card is destroyed by battle or removed from the field by your opponent's card effect, you can Special Summon a level 8 or lower "Warrior" Synchro monster. The best targets for this are probably Accel Synchron to reveal a Satellite Warrior during your opponent's turn or Jet Warrior to return a card your opponent controls.
Engine draws cards
Most of the time, you will find that playing this deck will result in a lot of dead hands and not being able to make your favorite synchro plays. Therefore, you need some card drawing options to add resources to your turn.
Black Dragon Collapserpent, White Dragon Wyverburster and Chaos Space (Chaos Engine)
Chaos Space is another drawing card we can use. It sends a DARK or a LIGHT from our hand to the grave and then adds a Black Dragon Collapserpent or White Dragon Wyverburster . It can then banish itself to place Black Dragon Collapserpent or White Dragon Wyverburster on the bottom of the deck, after which you can draw 1 card. Baby dragons are level 4 non-tuners that function as extenders as they can be Special Summoned from the hand by banishing monsters with the opposite attribute. They also add another baby dragon to the hand if that card is sent from the field to the graveyard.
Pot of Avarice (0-1x)
Pot of Avarice allows us to draw 2 cards by shuffling 5 monsters in the graveyard. Both effects are very useful for drawing more cards and recycling your used synchro monsters like Martial Metal Marcher to further extend combos. However, this card cannot be used in the early turns so it is generally quite bricked, ideally you should draw it from one of TG Hyper Librarian 's draws.
Maxx "C" (3x)
Maxx "C" is considered by many to be the best hand trap and also the best draw engine in the game for several good reasons. It allows you to draw a card every time your opponent special summons, which can be many. It also synergizes a lot with the deck as it is a level 2 non-tuner that can easily send itself from hand to grave. This card is also our biggest enemy and will cause us countless losses if our opponent successfully uses its effect.
The removal
Loại bỏ backrow
All of these cards are different forms of backrow removal.
- Harpie's Feather Duster is similar to Raigeki backrow as it destroys all Spells & Traps the opponent controls and is also limited to one.
- The next best form of backrow removal is Twin Twisters , by discarding a card you can destroy up to 2 Spells/Traps on the field. It is also a Quick-Play Spell so it can be cast during your opponent's turn.
- Cosmic Cyclone can banish Spells or Traps by paying 1000 Life Points. This is very useful against Sky Striker or Eldlich, decks that can benefit from having Spell and Trap in the graveyard. This is also a Quick-Play Spell so you can activate it during your opponent's turn.
- Mystical Space Typhoon can destroy 1 Spell or Trap on the field. This is a budget option that comes with the Synchro of Unity Starter Deck. This is also a Quick-Play Spell so it can be used during your opponent's turn.
Evenly Matched (0-3x)
Evenly Matched can be activated from your hand if you control no cards. When activated, it can cause your opponent to banish cards from their field face down until they control the same number of cards as you, usually one since you only control 1 Evenly Matched . This card is the best addition to the side deck.
Destroy the yard
Forbidden Droplet (0-3x)
Forbidden Droplet allows us to send other cards from the field or from our hand to the graveyard, we can then select that number of monster effects to negate their effects and halve their ATK them without targeting. Cards of the same original type as cards you sent to the grave cannot be activated in response to this. This card can also be loaded into the Graveyard with Junk Synchron targets. It should be used in 2 or 3 copies or not at all.
Forbidden Chalice (0-3x)
Forbidden Chalice is a fairly economical alternative to Forbidden Droplet as it can negate the effects of a face-up monster by giving it 400 ATK. This is inferior to the Forbidden Droplet because it does not charge the Graveyard, it can only target one monster, and it can be negated.
Dark Ruler No More (0-3x)
Dark Ruler No More negates the effects of all face-up cards on the field, neither player can activate monster effects in response to this. This card can still be negated by Spells or Traps such as Solemn Judgment . Additionally, for the rest of the turn, your opponent takes no damage. Personally, I believe this card has less overall power with decks than Forbidden Droplet .
Gadarla, the Mystery Dust Kaiju, Radian and the Multidimensional Kaiju (Nên có ít nhất 1 Kaiju trong bộ bài)
Here are some Kaiju we can run. They can also be used as a budget option in case you don't have Forbidden Droplet or Dark Ruler No More . Gadarla was introduced because it is Rare and it can be used to Synchro to create level 9 synchro monsters. Radian is also Rare, however, it is also a DARK attribute so it can be obtained by Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon and it is also level 7 so it can be used to create level 8 and level 9 synchros. You can also use other "Kaiju" if you want. "Kaiju" are more suitable for use with side decks..
Handtrap
Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit (0-1x)
Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit is another Ghost-Girl that can destroy monsters when it activates its effect or the effect of a face-up Spell & Trap is on the field. It is also a tuner so it can be used with Junk Converter and it can also be Special Summoned as a level 3 tuner using Emergency Teleport if you use the Assault Mode Engine.
PSY-Frame Driver and PSY-Framegear Gamma (0-2x PSY-Framegear Gamma, 0-1x PSY-Frame Driver)
PSY-Framegear Gamma is a handtrap that negates monster effects and destroys monsters if you control no monsters. If that happens, you Special Summon it and PSY-Frame Driver from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard but banish them during the End Phase. This handtrap is a bit inconsistent because it is semi-limited and you are forced to have an additional deadhand like Driver. This card can Synchro out Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon to start combos if the opponent activates the handtrap too early. This card is of the "Psychic" type so it can be Special Summoned as a level 2 tuner using Emergency Teleport if you run the Assault Mode engine.
Nibiru the Primal Being (0-1x)
Nibiru, the Primal Being is a great counter for combo decks that can end the turn if they don't set up their counters fast enough to respond. One problem with it is that it is a dead draw if going first and can be pretty useless against backrow heavy decks. If faced off, this is a stable card that we will be quite afraid of whenever Junk Speeder activates its effect.
Prevent Disrupts
Crossout Designator (0-3x)
Crossout Designator is a crazy card that can disable handtraps and more. This card gains more value the more staples you use in your deck. You can banish a card to negate its effects for the rest of this turn. This card is more than just a handtrap, it can also be set up to protect against your opponent's Lightning Storm or Forbidden Droplet .
Sky Striker Mecha - Eagle Booster and Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage! (0-3x Sky Striker Mecha - Eagle Booster, 0-2x Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage!)
Sky Striker Mecha - Eagle Booster is a quick-play Spell that can target a face-up monster on the field to avoid being affected by card effects if you control no monsters in your Main Monster area . This can be used on Junk Speeder in conjunction with a chain block to ensure your effect occurs. This card will eventually die if you use Junk Speeder . To search for the Spell card, we also play Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage! allows us to add a "Sky Striker" card from our deck to our hand and if we have 3 or more Spells in the graveyard, we can draw an additional card to add to it. You can also use Sky Striker Mecha - Hornet Drone if you use these cards.
Combo Extender
Side Deck
Droll & Lock Bird (3x)
Droll & Lock Bird is a pretty good handtrap to add to a side deck. After sending this card to the graveyard, your opponent cannot add cards from their deck to their hand. This is great at stopping decks like Drytrons, adding a lot of cards to their hand to search for Spells and Ritual Monsters.
Artifact Lancea (3x)
Artifact Lancea can be sacrificed during your opponent's turn so that neither player can banish it for the remainder of this turn. This counters decks like Zoodiac Tri-Brigade because they banish a lot and prevent Invoked from summoning fusion. This Handtrap also has a counter effect against Evenly Matched .
Gravity Collapse (3x)
Gravity Collapse turns horribly bad field sets into a skip for your opponent. When your opponent summons a monster, you can send a face-up synchro monster you control to the graveyard then negate it. Until the End Phase of this turn, your opponent can no longer summon monsters.
Some sample Decks
Combo
Basic Combos
This is an example of a very basic combo if you don't draw an extender and don't have any extenders to start with. There are many different ways to create an ending deck even with these two identical cards, so I highly encourage you to experiment and see what you like best.
Maxx "C" and Junk Synchron (Có thể với bất kỳ non-tuner cấp 2 khác)
- Activating Maxx "C" effect sends it to the grave.
- Normal Summon Junk Synchron .
- Special Summon Maxx "C" from the grave.
- Junk Synchron (level 3 tuner) + Maxx "C" (level 2 non-tuner) = Junk Speeder (level 5 non-tuner).
- Activate Junk Speeder 's effect to Special Summon Jet Synchron (level 1 tuner), Fleur Synchron (level 2 tuner) and Junk Synchron (level 3 tuner) from the deck.
- Jet Synchron (tuner level 1) + Junk Speeder (non-tuner level 5) = Stardust Charge Warrior (non-tuner level 6).
- Chain Link 1: Activate Stardust Charge Warrior 's effect to draw 1 card. Chain Link 2: Activate Jet Synchron 's effect to add Junk Converter to hand.
- Fleur Synchron (tuner level 2) + Stardust Charge Warrior (non-tuner level 6) = Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon (non-tuner level 8)
- Chain Link 1: Activate Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon to flip and view the top 5 cards of your deck. Let's assume we won't get anything from the above. Chain Link 2: Activate Fleur Synchron 's effect to Special Summon Junk Converter from hand.
- Junk Synchron (level 3 tuner) + Junk Converter (level 2 non-tuner) = Accel Synchron (level 5 tuner)
- Activate Junk Converter 's effect to Special Summon Jet Synchron from the grave.
- Jet Synchron (tuner level 1) + Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon (non-tuner level 8) = Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss (negate level 9)
- Special summon Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon from the grave by banishing Fleur Synchron and Junk Synchron .
- Reduce Accel Synchron 's level to 3 by sending Junk Synchron from the deck to the grave. ( Accel Synchron is now level 2)
- During your opponent's turn: Accel Synchron (level 2 tuner) + Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon (level 8 non-tuner) = Satellite Warrior (level 10 with destructive effect)
- Activate the Satellite Warrior effect to destroy up to 3 cards on your opponent's field.
This is a very basic Synchro Combo. Combos will vary significantly with what you draw and what you run in your extra deck. I highly encourage you to get creative and experiment with your own combos.
Final words
I hope this tutorial was helpful. If there is a problem or you want to add anything, please let YGO Vietnam know. I hope this guide will get you interested in using Synchrons as the deck allows you to get creative with the cards you can use and your own combos, and the number of options will even more so when new cards are leaked.
