The main components in the Orcust deck. Overview of the deck.

Gameplay overview
Orcust is a deck that focuses on annoying the opponent over time. The deck is quite different from some control decks because it is combo oriented. Orcust monsters in the main deck can banish themselves from the grave (cost) to summon additional Orcust monsters from the hand, grave, or deck. Besides, the deck also carries the main staples from the extra deck, which are link and xyz monsters.
Core deck
Ocust is played with the extra deck cards Galatea and Dingirsu . These monsters have effects that help you restore resources and assist in setting up combos.
Galatea (play as many as possible) is an orcust 2 link monster that can be easily called with 2 effect monsters (at least 1 Orcust monster).
Once per turn, you can return 1 of your discarded machine monsters to the deck (with target), then you can set 1 additional Orcust spell/trap from the deck onto the field.
This monster cannot be destroyed by battle while in the linked state (when this monster has an arrow pointing at another monster or is pointed at by another linked monster).
Dingirsu (play 2) is the deck's main rank 8 xyz monster. Besides the ability to summon with only 2 level 8 monsters, Dingirsu can be xyz summoned from the extra deck with only 1 Orcust link monster.
When this monster is special summoned, you can perform 1 of 2 effects:
- Send 1 card from your opponent's field to the grave.
- Take one of your discarded machine monsters as material for this card.
This monster also has a protection effect on the field when a card on your field is about to be destroyed, you can discard 1 material from this card instead of that destruction.
You can only summon Dingirsu once per turn.
Besides Galatea and Dingirsu , Longirsu (play 1) is also a key monster of the deck. While Longirsu is linked, this monster will not be destroyed by effects.
This monster can help you return 2 of your discarded machine monsters to the deck (with a target, then you can send 1 of your opponent's linked monsters to the grave, Longirsu will not be able to attack during its turn). Use this effect.
The Orcust monsters in the main deck have the ability to help you summon other Orcust monsters to add to the monster resources on your field:
- Harp Horror : Summon 1 Orcust monster from your deck, play the maximum number possible.
- Cymbal Skeleton : Summon 1 Orcust monster from the Graveyard, play 2.
- Bass Bombard : Summon 1 Orcust monster from hand, play 1.
After using these monsters' effects, until the end of your turn, you can only special summon DARK monsters.
Girsu (play as many as possible) is a suitable monster for a normal summon during your turn. When Girsu is Normal or Special Summoned, you can send 1 Orcust or World Legacy monster/spell/trap from your Deck to the Graveyard.
If Girsu is the only monster on your field, you can activate the effect to summon 2 World Legacy Tokens to the field (1 on your field, 1 on your opponent's field).
World Wand (play 1 or 2) is a World Legacy monster that has related effects and can support Orcust monsters.
The most commonly used effect of this monster is an effect that can help you special summon 1 of your Orcust monsters that was banished back to the field (with target) by banishing this card from the graveyard. After using this effect, until the end of your turn, you can only special summon DARK monsters.
Orcust Knightmare (play 2 or 3) is a monster that can serve your combo very well. This monster can help you send more Orcust monsters from your deck to the grave.
By discarding this card from the Graveyard, you can send 1 DARK machine monster from your Deck to the Graveyard to increase the ATK of 1 monster on the field (with target) by 100 for each level of the monster sent to the Graveyard. . You can only special summon a DARK monster after activating this effect until the end of your turn.
Orcustrated Babel (play 1) can turn the effects of the following monsters into quick effects:
- Effects of Orcust monsters from the grave.
- The effect of the Orcust link monster on the field.
Except on the turn this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard (cost) to add this card from the Graveyard to your hand.
Orcust Crescendo (play 1 or 2) is Orcust's counter trap card that can negate the activation of spell/trap cards or monster effects and banish that card. The condition to activate this card is that you need to control the Orcust link monster.
Orcust Crescendo also has an effect from the grave, by removing this card from the grave (cost), you can add 1 DARK machine monster to your hand that is being discarded or in the deck. During the entire turn you activate this effect, you can only special summon DARK machine monsters.
Some engines can play with decks
With the deck's nature of taking up few slots in the main deck and needing monster resources (with effects) to serve the summon link, Orcust can be played with many different engines, making this deck more diverse in gameplay.
