Baronne de Fleur - Things to know - Part 2

Baronne is a generic synchro monster with an effect that is considered strong in the current format. In the previous article, I mentioned this monster and a brief combo. Let's continue with 2 simple but effective combos with this monster.

Some combos in decks can be created from 2 monsters on the field, at least 1 tuner monster, the main purpose is for you to be able to summon the 2 link monster Crystron Halqifibrax.

Halqifibrax has 2 effects:

• When Link Summoned, you can special summon 1 lower level 3 tuner monster from your hand or Defense Deck. However, that monster cannot activate effects this turn.
• During your opponent's main phase or battle phase, by removing this monster (cost), summon 1 synchro tuner monster from the extra deck (this monster will count as a synchro summon).

With the necessary tuner monster summon effect in Halqifibrax's combo, you can reduce the number of cards needed for the combo to the lowest level, making the combo's execution rate increase.

Synchro summoning requires a lot of monster resources on the field (2 or more monsters). Tokens can solve quite a few problems with synchro materials, helping your combo not need too many monsters in the main deck to use as synchro materials.

Auroradon is a 3 link monster with a material requirement of 2+ machine monsters. This monster can be summoned with Halqifibrax and 1 tuner machine monster can be summoned with Halqifibrax (Deskbot 001). Auroradon helps you generate 3 additional tokens when link summoned and you will not be able to summon link until the end of your turn after you use this effect.

This monster can sacrifice a number of monsters once per turn to activate the corresponding effect:

• 1: Destroy 1 card on the field.
• 2: Summon 1 Mecha Phantom Beast monster from the deck.
• 3: Add 1 trap card from the Graveyard to your hand.

The most commonly used effect is to sacrifice 2 monsters to special summon 1 more monster from the deck to help you get more resources for combos.

Deskbot 001 is a tuner monster used a lot in the Halqifibrax-Auraradon combo. This monster can be summoned from the grave if 2 or more machine monsters are summoned at the same time.

Use Halqifibrax's effect to summon Deskbot 001 from the deck, then use Halqifibrax and Deskbot 001 to summon Auroradon. Auroradon continues to summon 3 more tokens. Because the token Auroradon summoned is a machine monster, Deskbot 001 can revive to give you a tuner monster to continue the combo.

Cards on the field: 1 tuner monster and 1 any monster.

Cards in hand: 1 random card.

Perform combos:

1. Use 2 monsters on the field to link summon Halqifibrax .

2. Activate Halqifibrax 's effect when linked summoned, summoning Jet Synchron from the deck to the field.
3. Summon Linkuriboh with Jet Synchron .
4. Activate Jet Synchron 's effect while in the Graveyard, sending 1 card in your hand to the Graveyard to special summon this monster from the Graveyard to the field.
5. Use Jet Synchron (will be removed if left the field) and Linkuriboh as materials to link summon the Artifact Dagda monster.
6. End of turn.

1. During your opponent's main phase, you can use Halqifibrax 's effect.
2. Remove the Halqifibrax monster to summon TG Wonder Magician from the extra deck.
3. While the chain has not been resolved ( Halqifibrax has only used the effect but has not actually summoned TG Wonder Magician ), Artifact Dagda is eligible to activate the effect. Using Artifact Dagda 's effect, place Artifact Scythe directly from the deck onto the field.
4. Chain arrangement: Halqifibrax chain link 1, Artifact Dagda chain link 2.
5. When the chain is complete: Artifact Scythe is placed face down on the field first, then TG Wonder Magician is summoned to the field.
6. Continue activating the effect of TG Wonder Magician , target Artifact Scythe on your field (currently a spell card) and destroy it.
7. Artifact Scythe, when placed face down in a spell/trap area and destroyed, will activate the effect after being destroyed, special summoning this monster.
8. When Artifact Scythe is special summoned during your opponent's turn, this monster will activate an effect that prevents your opponent from special summoning monsters from the extra deck until the end of the turn.

You gain 1 summon lock from your opponent's extra deck thanks to Artifact Scythe .

has the effect of performing a synchro summon during the opponent's turn. Use TG Wonder Magician and Artifact Scythe to synchro summon Baronne .

Additionally, during your opponent's standby phase, you can return Baronne to your extra deck to summon the Artifact Scythe monster from the grave, blocking up to 2 summons from your opponent's extra deck!

The main goal of this combo is to summon two link monsters to the field, Halqifibrax and Dagda . These are 2 link 2 monsters with materials that do not require too much.

Halqifibrax requires any 2 monsters, including the tuner.

Dagda requests 2 monsters with different names.

You can use the trio of Sangan , Arboria , and Almiraj to perform this combo.

Perform a combo with only 1 Sangan monster from your hand.

1. Normal summon Sangan from hand.
2. Use Sangan as a summoning material to link to Almiraj .
3. Sangan when sent from the field to the grave can activate the effect, taking Arboria from the deck to the hand.
4. Special Summon Arboria from hand to the space Almiraj points to.

With the above steps, you have enough 2 material monsters for Halqifibrax (tuner is Arboria ). A monster with the same name as a monster added to the hand by Sangan cannot activate effects that turn, Arboria 's summon does not count as activating effects.

Cards on the field: 1 tuner monster and 1 any monster.

Perform combos:

1. Summon Halqifibrax with 2 monsters on the field.
2. Activate Halqifibrax 's effect when linked summoned, summoning Deskbot 001 from the deck to the field.
3. Use Halqifibrax and Deskbot 001 to summon link to Auroradon . Continue to summon 3 more tokens thanks to Auroradon 's effect.
4. Deskbot 001 can special summon itself to the field when 2 or more machine monsters are summoned at the same time. Summon Deskbot 001 again immediately afterwards.
5. Use Deskbot 001 and 1 token to summon the monster Crystron Quandrax .
6. Activate Auroradon 's second effect, sacrifice 2 tokens to summon Coltwing from the deck to the field.
7. Coltwing activates an effect that summons 2 additional tokens to the field.
8. Returning to the effect of Deskbot 001 in the grave, the special summon returns to the field.
9. Use Crystron Quandrax and 1 token to synchro summon the monster Shooting Riser Dragon .
10. Coltwing will level up corresponding to the total level of the tokens, Coltwing 's current level is 7. Use Deskbot 001 and Coltwing to synchro summon Borreload Savage Dragon . Borreload Savage Dragon can take the Halqifibrax monster from the grave and equip this monster.
11. Finally, use Shooting Riser Dragon with the remaining tokens to summon the Baronne monster.

At the end of the combo on the field you have:

• 1 Baronne .
• 1 Borreload Savage Dragon monster with 2 counters (2 negates).

Halqifibrax and Auroradon are important monsters that contribute a lot to the combo. These are two monsters with full potential, from the ability to pull monsters from the deck to the ability to create many monsters for synchro summoning.
