Shining Sarcophagus Gameplay Guide

LIGHT 4

Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: Increase this card's Level by 1. While this card's Level is higher than its original Level, it gains ATK equal to the difference x 500. When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets "Shining Sarcophagus", or a monster(s) that mentions it, that you control (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, increase this card's Level by 1. You can only use this effect of "Silent Swordsman Zero" once per turn.

DARK 8

Gains 300 ATK for each banished card. You can only use each of the following effects of "Gandora-G the Dragon of Destruction" once per turn. If you control "Shining Sarcophagus": You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can pay half your LP; destroy as many other cards on the field as possible, and if you do, banish them, then Special Summon 1 Level 7 or lower monster that mentions "Shining Sarcophagus" from your Deck, and increase its Level by the number of cards destroyed by this effect.

Spell Field

When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Kashtira" monster from your Deck to your hand. Monsters you control gain 100 ATK/DEF for each different Attribute on the field. If a "Kashtira Shangri-Ira" you control activates an effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Pressured Planet Wraitsoth" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Pressured Planet Wraitsoth" per turn.

Spell Normal

At the start of your Main Phase 1: Banish 3 or 6 random face-down cards from your Extra Deck, face-down; draw 1 card for every 3 cards banished. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot draw any cards by card effects.

DARK 7

This card's name becomes "Dark Magician" while on the field. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dark Magician the Magician of Black Magic" once per turn. If "Shining Sarcophagus" is on the field: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is destroyed by card effect and a Level 5 or higher monster is on the field: You can Special Summon this card, then you can Set 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck that mentions "Dark Magician".

EARTH 7

During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, banish 1 "Kashtira" or "Scareclaw" card from your hand or GY. You can only use this effect of "Scareclaw Kashtira" once per turn. This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If it does, apply its DEF for damage calculation. If your "Kashtira" or "Scareclaw" monster battles an opponent's monster, that opponent's monster's effects are negated until the end of this turn.

LIGHT

4+ Effect Monsters You can also use 1 monster your opponent controls as material to Link Summon this card. If this card is Link Summoned: You can negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls. This Link Summoned card is unaffected by your opponent's activated effects, unless they target this card. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that Special Summons a monster(s) from the GY (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation.

WATER

2 Level 4 monsters While this card has a material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; your opponent cannot activate any card effects in their GY this turn.

FIRE

2+ Level 7 monsters During each Standby Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "Kashtira" monster from your Deck. You can only use the previous effect of "Kashtira Shangri-Ira" once per turn. Each time a card(s) your opponent owns and possesses is banished face-down (except during the Damage Step): You can choose 1 unused Main Monster Zone or Spell & Trap Zone; it cannot be used while this monster is face-up on the field. If this card on the field would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can detach 1 material from this card instead.

Spell Quick

Target 1 face-up monster you control; increase its Level by 3, also if you activated this card in response to your opponent's monster effect activation, while you control "Shining Sarcophagus" and a monster that mentions it, negate that opponent's effect. During damage calculation, if your monster that mentions "Shining Sarcophagus" battles: You can banish this card from your GY; end the Battle Phase. You can only activate 1 "Turn Silence" per turn.

LIGHT

2+ monsters, including a Spellcaster monster If this card is Link Summoned: Place Spell Counters on this card, equal to the number of Spells on the field and in the GYs. While an "Endymion" card(s) is on the field, your opponent's monsters cannot target this card for attacks. Once per turn, during the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can remove 3 Spell Counters from your field; Special Summon 1 Spellcaster monster from your hand or GY in Defense Position, to your zone this card points to.

EARTH

2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, detach 1 material from this card. If you cannot, destroy it. This Attack Position card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. Your opponent cannot target this Attack Position card with card effects. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, change all face-up monsters on the field to Defense Position, also negate the activated effects of monsters that were in Defense Position when that effect was activated.

WATER

3 Level 4 monsters Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Full Armored Utopic Ray Lancer" by discarding 1 Spell/Trap and using 1 Rank 4 or lower Xyz Monster you control. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Monsters your opponent controls lose 500 ATK. At the start of the Battle Phase: You can negate the effects of all Attack Position monsters your opponent currently controls. When this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can detach 1 material from this card; it can make a second attack in a row.

Spell Quick

Discard 1 card; Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from either field as Fusion Material. Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card's activation.

Trap Normal

If a "Kashtira" Xyz Monster is on the field and a player controls 2 or more monsters: They must banish monsters they control, face-down, so they only control 1 monster. If this card is banished: You can target 1 "Kashtira" Xyz Monster you control; add 1 of your "Kashtira" monsters attached to it to your hand, then you can Special Summon that monster from your hand. You can only use each effect of "Kashtira Big Bang" once per turn.

LIGHT

3 Xyz Monsters with the same Rank, except "Number" monsters (This card's original Rank is always treated as 1. This card is always treated as a "Utopic Future" card.) You can also Xyz Summon this card by using "Number F0: Utopic Future" you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate the activation, then, if that monster is on the field, gain control of it.

DARK 6

While you control "Shining Sarcophagus", you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. Other monsters you control gain 500 ATK, during your turn only. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of it until the End Phase, but that monster cannot attack unless you controlled "Shining Sarcophagus" when this effect was activated. You can only use this effect of "Archfiend's Advent" once per turn.

EARTH 2

During either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; this turn, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), immediately draw 1 card. You can only use 1 "Maxx "C"" per turn.

DARK

2+ Effect Monsters Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's effect activations. If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 Link Monster that was used as material for its Link Summon; this card gains ATK equal to that monster's Link Rating x 1000. You can banish 1 Link Monster from your field or GY; destroy 1 card your opponent controls, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot banish monsters with that same Attribute to activate this effect of "Accesscode Talker".

WIND

2 Level 7 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; Special Summon 2 "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" (Machine/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0). While you control a Token, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect.

DARK

2 non-Link Monsters During your opponent's Main Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon 1 Link Monster using materials you control, including this card. You can only use this effect of "I:P Masquerena" once per turn. A Link Monster that used this card as material cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

Spell Normal

Banish 3 or 6 cards of your choice from your Extra Deck, face-down; for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, any damage your opponent takes is halved, also excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the number of cards banished, add 1 excavated card to your hand, place the rest on the bottom of your Deck in any order. You can only activate 1 "Pot of Prosperity" per turn. You cannot draw cards by card effects the turn you activate this card.

WATER 7

If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only use each of the following effects of "Kashtira Ogre" once per turn. During your Main Phase: You can add 1 "Kashtira" Trap from your Deck to your hand. When this card declares an attack, or if your opponent activates a monster effect (except during the Damage Step): You can excavate up to 5 cards from the top of your opponent's Deck, banish 1 excavated card, face-down, and place the rest on the top of the Deck in the same order.

DARK

2 Level 12 monsters During the turn, or turn after, your opponent Special Summoned 2 or more monsters from the Extra Deck, you can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 monster you control with the highest ATK (your choice, if tied). (Transfer its materials to this card.) If you do, you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn. While this Xyz Summoned monster is on the field, neither player can activate the effects of monsters with 3000 or more ATK. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; return 1 monster from the field to the hand.

Spell Continuous

Cannot be destroyed by monster effects. You can only use each of the following effects of "Shining Sarcophagus" once per turn. During your Main Phase: You can add 1 card that mentions "Shining Sarcophagus" from your Deck to your hand, except "Shining Sarcophagus". If your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) from the GY (except during the Damage Step): You can discard 1 Spell, then target 1 of those monsters; send it to the GY.

WIND 7

If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only use each of the following effects of "Kashtira Unicorn" once per turn. During your Main Phase: You can add 1 "Kashtira" Spell from your Deck to your hand. When this card declares an attack, or if your opponent activates a monster effect (except during the Damage Step): You can look at your opponent's Extra Deck, and if you do, banish 1 monster from it, face-down.

LIGHT

2 "Number" Xyz Monsters with the same name and Rank Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card gains ATK equal to the combined Ranks of all Xyz Monsters currently on the field x 1000, until the end of your opponent's turn. When this card is destroyed by card effect: You can destroy as many monsters on the field as possible (min. 1), then each player Sets 1 Spell/Trap Card from their Graveyard to their field. When an opponent's monster declares an attack while this card is in your Graveyard and you have no cards in your hand or field: You can Special Summon this card.

Spell Normal

Target 1 "Kashtira" monster you control; Special Summon 1 "Kashtira" monster with a different Attribute from your Deck in Defense Position, also for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Xyz Monsters. If this card is banished: You can target 1 of your banished "Kashtira" cards, except "Kashtiratheosis"; add it to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Kashtiratheosis" once per turn.

FIRE 3

When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect. ● Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ● Special Summon from the Deck. ● Send a card from the Deck to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" once per turn.

LIGHT 3

When a monster on the field activates its effect, or when a Spell/Trap that is already face-up on the field activates its effect (Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand or field to the GY; destroy that card on the field. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" once per turn.

DARK

2 Level 8 monsters Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. You can detach 1 material from this card; take 2 Dragon "Number" monsters with different names from your Extra Deck and/or GY, except "Number 97: Draglubion", Special Summon 1 of them and attach the other to it as material, also for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon other monsters, or declare an attack, except with that Special Summoned monster. You can only use this effect of "Number 97: Draglubion" once per turn.

DARK

2 monsters, including a DARK monster (This card is always treated as a "Familiar-Possessed" card.) You can target 1 DARK monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it to your zone this card points to. If this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle, or is destroyed by an opponent's card effect while in its owner's Monster Zone: You can add 1 DARK monster with 1500 or less DEF from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy" once per turn.

DARK

3 Level 7 monsters Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Kashtira Arise-Heart" by using 1 "Kashtira" monster you control, if an effect of "Kashtira Shangri-Ira" was successfully activated this turn. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Any card sent to the GY is banished instead. Once per Chain, each time a card(s) is banished: Attach 1 banished card to this card as material. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 3 materials from this card, then target 1 card on the field; banish it face-down.

LIGHT 2

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by a card effect. When your opponent activates a monster effect while you control no monsters (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon both this card from your hand and 1 "PSY-Frame Driver" from your hand, Deck, or GY, and if you do, negate that activation, and if you do that, destroy that monster. During the End Phase, banish the face-up monsters Special Summoned by this effect.

DARK 8

1 Fusion Monster + 1 DARK monster Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 1 Predator Counter on it, and if it is Level 2 or higher, it becomes Level 1 as long as it has a Predator Counter. Negate the activated effects of your opponent's monsters that have Predator Counters.

DARK

2+ Level 7 monsters Once per turn, if you have exactly 5 DARK monsters in your GY, you can also Xyz Summon "Dark Armed, the Dragon of Annihilation" by using 1 Level 5 or higher DARK Dragon monster you control as material. You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it, then banish 1 card from your GY, also, this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn.

WATER 4

2 monsters with the same Attribute but different Types Your opponent cannot target this card, or monsters on the field with the same Attribute as this card, with card effects. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can declare 1 Attribute; this card becomes that Attribute until the end of this turn.

Spell Quick

Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; banish it, and if you do, until the end of the next turn, its effects are negated, as well as the activated effects and effects on the field of monsters with the same original name.

LIGHT

2 Level 8 monsters Once per turn, when a Spell Card or effect is activated on the field (Quick Effect): You can negate that effect, and if you do, attach that card to this card as material. When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 material from this card; change the attack target to this card and perform damage calculation. If a face-up Xyz Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; it gains ATK equal to 1 of those destroyed monster's original ATK.

DARK 6

2 monsters with the same Type and Attribute, but different names Any battle damage your opponent takes from battles involving this card is doubled. If this card is sent to the GY: You can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Garura, Wings of Resonant Life" once per turn.

LIGHT

2 Level 12 monsters Once per turn, if an Xyz Monster battled this turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder" by using 1 Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; send all other cards from the field to the GY. Once per turn, if another card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect: You can attach 1 card from your hand, Deck, or Extra Deck to this card as material.

DARK

2 Effect Monsters If this card is Link Summoned using a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Monster as material: You can target 1 card on the field or in either GY; banish it, also your monsters cannot attack directly this turn. When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can target 2 face-up monsters on the field, including a monster you control; banish both until the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "S:P Little Knight" once per turn.

Trap Normal

Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; negate its effects (until the end of this turn), then, if this card was Set before activation and is on the field at resolution, for the rest of this turn all other Spell/Trap effects in this column are negated. If you control no cards, you can activate this card from your hand.

LIGHT

2 Level 8 monsters If this card has a "Photon" card as material, it cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can only use each of the following effects of "Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord" once per turn. ● When an opponent's monster activates its effect (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate that monster's effect, and if the detached material was a "Galaxy" card, destroy that card. ● During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can take 1 "Photon" or "Galaxy" card from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or attach it to this card as material.

Spell Quick

Add 1 monster that mentions "Shining Sarcophagus" from your Deck to your hand, then, if you activated this card during the Battle Phase while you controlled "Shining Sarcophagus" and a monster that mentions it, each player draws until they have 6 cards in their hand. You can only activate 1 "Future Silence" per turn.

LIGHT

2 Xyz Monsters with the same Rank, except "Number" monsters (This card's original Rank is always treated as 1.) Cannot be destroyed by battle, and neither player takes any battle damage from attacks involving this card. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled an opponent's monster: You can take control of that opponent's monster until the end of the Battle Phase. If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed by a card effect, you can detach 1 material from this card instead.

Trap Normal

If you control "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Dark Magician": Negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls, until the end of this turn. You can only activate 1 "Destined Rivals" per turn.

EARTH 7

If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only use each of the following effects of "Kashtira Fenrir" once per turn. During your Main Phase: You can add 1 "Kashtira" monster from your Deck to your hand. When this card declares an attack, or if your opponent activates a monster effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; banish it, face-down.

Spell Normal

If you control "Shining Sarcophagus" and a monster that mentions it: Special Summon up to 2 Level 4 or lower monsters with different names that mention "Shining Sarcophagus" from your hand and/or Deck, also, for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck. You can only activate 1 "Ties That Bind" per turn.

EARTH 4

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Shining Sarcophagus" or 1 Spell/Trap that mentions it from your Deck to your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Set 1 "Stronghold the Hidden Fortress" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Gadget Trio" once per turn.

DARK 6

If you have no cards in your GY (Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand to the GY; until the end of the next turn, any card sent to the GY is banished instead.

DARK

2 Level 7 monsters Cannot be destroyed by card effects while it has Xyz Material. While this card has Xyz Material, each time your opponent activates a card or effect, inflict 500 damage to your opponent immediately after it resolves. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Red-Eyes" Normal Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.

DARK 12

1 "Yubel" monster + 1+ Effect Monsters on the field If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each material used. You can only use this effect of "Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever" once per turn. Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also you take no battle damage from battles involving this card. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled an opponent's monster: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that opponent's monster's ATK, and if you do, banish that monster.

LIGHT 4

If your opponent draws a card(s): Increase this card's Level by the number drawn. While this card's Level is higher than its original Level, it gains ATK equal to the difference x 500. When your opponent activates a Spell Card or effect, while you control "Shining Sarcophagus" (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, increase this card's Level by 1. You can only use this effect of "Silent Magician Zero" once per turn.

LIGHT 6

A Psychic soldier that rides into battle against the Security Forces on currents of lightning, using an autonomic amplifier called "PSY-Frame".

EARTH 7

1 Cyberse monster + 1 Link Monster After this card is Fusion Summoned, you take no damage for the rest of this turn. If this card attacks a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, this card gains ATK equal to its original ATK during the Damage Step only. When this card is destroyed by battle: You can target 1 Cyberse monster in your GY, except "Earth Golem @Ignister"; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Earth Golem @Ignister" once per turn.

Spell Continuous

You can Normal Summon Level 7 monsters without Tributing. During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 of your non-Xyz "Kashtira" monsters that is banished or in your GY. If your opponent activates a Spell Card or effect, and you control a "Kashtira" monster: You can target 3 cards in your opponent's GY; banish them, face-down. You can only use each effect of "Kashtira Birth" once per turn.
