Instructions for playing Dian Keto/Aqua (Bubble Actress)

Instructions for playing Dian Keto/Aqua (Bubble Actress)

Bubble Actress ( or Aqua deck ) is an interesting "dark horse" in the current Rush Duel meta. Initially underestimated by the community due to its lack of piercing ability to counter the "set 3 pass" defensive strategy, this deck has made a spectacular comeback and proven its strength by dominating tournaments and achieving high rankings in the Goha Rush Festival (Top 100). - Currently, it's even a Tier 1 deck.

Skill

The Beasts

Unlike decks that focus on quick combos, Bubble Actress's monster power lies in its Control and Sustain abilities . The strategy revolves around utilizing the "Immi Special" skill to "hack" the summon cost, bringing Tier 8 main monsters to the field with only one Tribute.

[REQUIREMENT] If your LP are lower than your opponent's, send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard. [EFFECT] Gain 1000 LP. Then, this card gains 1000 ATK until the end of this turn.

Despite her petite appearance, she's the "tank" who turned the tables in the trio of Loli-style Dian Keto goddesses.

This is the monster with the most explosive attack power. When your base stats are lower than your opponent's, it can increase ATK by 1000 (up to 3500, or 3700 if Environment is present), allowing you to overcome most monsters in the meta. .

The effect of sending a card from your hand to the Graveyard not only increases attack/healing but also helps set up the graveyard (for example, sending Rainopoulos for Nuvia to recycle). . However, due to the strict activation conditions (must lose the original score), this card often serves as a trump card in the middle or late game. .

Often described as a "walking Pot of Greed". The ability to draw a free card (if you have the Environment) is extremely valuable in Rush Duel. .

Drawing more cards allows you to find more monsters to sacrifice or other combo pieces. Even if you draw a low-level monster, you can still use it as material to summon other Dian Keto monsters thanks to your Cost Reduction Skill. .

[REQUIREMENT] If a Spell/Trap Card is on the field, send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard. [EFFECT] Gain 1000 LP. Then, you can make this card gain ATK equal to [the number of face-up Spell Cards on the field] x 300 until the end of this turn.

The pillar of defense
This is the most stable recovery tool (Unconditional Healer). As long as you have Spell/Trap cards on the field (which almost always happens with Field Spells from Skills), you can restore 1000 LP per turn. .

In stalemate matches (like against an opponent playing a "Set 3 Pass" strategy), Food Prodigy helps you maintain a safe starting point to buy time, forcing your opponent to risk attacking or running out of resources before you. . The ability to slightly increase ATK (usually 300) helps it reach the 3000 ATK mark. .

With 1800 ATK and the ability to bounce one card from the field back to your hand, this is the most versatile monster in the deck. .

Advanced application:

  • Attack: Eliminate the Boss monster or the opponent's backline to clear a path for a direct attack. .

  • Loop: You can return your own monster (like Nuvia ) to your hand to summon it again and activate its effect, or save important monsters from negative effects. .

This is the primary goal of the Skills search. Nuvia can retrieve Rainopoulos from the Graveyard, creating an endless resource loop: Use Rainopoulos as payment for Dian Ketos -> Use Nuvia to retrieve them -> Reactivate them. .

[REQUIREMENT] Activate this card if you have 2 or more face-up Aqua Type monsters on your field. [EFFECT] While this card is face-up in the Field Zone, face-up Aqua Type monsters on the field gain 200 ATK, and face-up non-Aqua Type monsters on the field lose 200 ATK.

The heart of the buff/debuff system.
Effect: Increases the ATK of Aqua monsters by 200 and decreases the ATK of non-Aqua monsters on the field by 200. .

This is the most important card because it activates the effects of key monsters such as Dian Keto the Cure Prodigy (draw card) and Food Prodigy (healing).
Combo: A special feature is that you can use Nuvia the Mischievous to retrieve Rainopoulos from the Graveyard. This allows you to use it as a "cost" to activate a monster's ability or effect, then retrieve it to activate on the field, creating an efficient resource loop. .

This thins out your deck and helps you delve deeper into your deck to find missing pieces (like Boss monsters) and return unnecessary cards (like surplus Normal monsters) to your deck so your Skill can search for them later.

[REQUIREMENT] Shuffle 4 monsters from your Graveyard into the Deck. [EFFECT] 1 face-up monster on your opponent's field loses ATK equal to [its Level] x 200 until the end of this turn.

This is key for Bubble Actress to finish the game. The ability to reduce ATK allows Dian Keto (who typically only have around 2500-3500 ATK) to overcome the opponent's giant monsters and deal significant damage. Additionally, recycling monsters ensures that your deck never runs out of resources (Deck out) during extended matches.

[REQUIREMENT] You have no monsters on your field. [EFFECT] Destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card on your opponent's field. Then, if you have 3 or less monsters in your Graveyard, you can draw 1 card.

Although useful for dealing with trap decks, in practice, this card is sometimes inconsistent (it can get "stuck" if you have monsters on the field or your opponent doesn't have traps). However, the ability to draw one card after destroying it remains a significant advantage when it works.

[REQUIREMENT] Shuffle 5 monsters from your Graveyard into the Deck. [EFFECT] Draw 2 cards.

Pot of Avarice is prioritized over Pot of Greed in this deck. Pot of Avarice allows you to return 5 monsters from the Graveyard to your deck to draw 2 cards. This is extremely important for "reloading" the Skill (returning Nuvia , Abyss Soldier , or the defeated Dian Keto).

                      How to play/Tips and Conclusion

                      OPERATION & TACTICS (GAMEPLAY)

Bubble Actress isn't a deck focused on quick combos or explosive OTKs, but rather on a control-oriented playstyle, wearing down opponents and building a solid board. .

                      1. Resource Loop

                      • Step 1: Activate Skill: From turn 2 onwards, reveal 1 Tier 8 (1000 DEF) monster in your hand to search for Rainopoulos , Nuvia , or vanilla monsters. Next, send one card from your hand to the Graveyard (preferably Rainopoulos or monsters that need recycling).

                      • Step 2: Reduce Costs & Summon: Utilize the Skill effect to summon Level 8 Dian Keto Sacrificial with only 1 sacrificial item (instead of 2). .

                      • Step 3: Optimize the Environment: Activate Rainopoulos to enable the effects of Cure Prodigy (card drawing) or Food Prodigy (healing). . Use Nuvia to retrieve Rainopoulos from the Graveyard if necessary. .

                      • Step 4: Control & Recycle: Use Abyss Soldier to eliminate the threat. Use Pot of Avarice or Talismanic Seal Array to return a monster from the Graveyard to your deck, preparing it for the next turn. .

                      2. Situational Tactics

                      • When being pressured (Back Burner): If your base stats are lower than your opponent's, summon Cleaning Prodigy to heal and boost your attack to a massive level (3700 ATK) to turn the tide of battle. .

                      • When your opponent plays defensively: If you encounter a "Set 3 Pass," switch to a "delaying tactic." Use Food Prodigy to restore 1000 LP per turn to create a safe distance back to your life points, and use Cornful Charity to filter cards for Talismanic Seal Array or Abyss Soldier to break through the defense. .

                      IMPORTANT TIPS AND TRICKS

                      • Going first is a weakness: This deck is very weak when going first because you can't activate your abilities immediately. If you start with all Tier 8 monsters, you can get "bricked" and miss your turn. Prioritize keeping low-level monsters to build defensive walls. .

                      • Manage your Skill "resources": Don't use Pot of Ability indiscriminately. Make sure you return to your deck the targets that the Skill can search for ( Nuvia , Rainopoulos , Mystical Sandbox ) to maintain the resource loop. .

                      • Abyss Soldier Combo: You can use Abyss Soldier to return your Nuvia to your hand, then summon her back to activate the ATK buff effect again. .

                      • Choose Traps based on Meta: Shiny Shady is a safe choice, but if you're facing many Aqua (Mirror Match) or Jointech matchups, Negate Attack or Compulsory Evacuation Device might be more effective depending on the situation. .

                      CONCLUSION

Bubble Actress is a deck of cards that proves the saying "the true test of a horse is on a long journey." Although it lacks flashy OTK combos or natural penetration abilities, its durability, resilience, and excellent board control have made it a formidable force in the meta. .

This deck is for patient players who enjoy resource management and tempo control. If you can accept the risk of being slightly "stuck" when going first, Bubble Actress will give you the satisfying feeling of slowly suffocating your opponents with her immortal "Sea Goddesses". .
